Chapter 115

Helen POV

I sat up, disoriented and confused, wiping the dirt off my cheek from where my head hit the arena. Blinking back spots, Justin’s Lycan stood over me, fighting back the rogue.

When everything came back into view, I gasped, scared and too close to this fight. The wolves above were in a tizzy with this challenge and Randy ordered everyone out of the arena.

When the stands cleared, the beta came over to the side of the railing, leaning down as far as he could to lend me his hand. I reached up, standing on the tips of my toes, but a searing hot whip laces my spine.

I gasped in searing pain, the rogue pacing behind me with a calculating grin spread over his crooked lips. Lycan pulled himself off the ground from where he was assessing his wounded, bleeding arm.

They collided again and Randy fell into he area, standing over me in sovereignty.

Russo came next, and then Oscar jumped into the pit as well until the rogue was vastly outnumbered.

I felt my bloody, sticky back peel off the arena wall as I leaned forward, my dress ruined most likely along my spine but thankfully still covering my sensitive bits.

The rogue shifted into mortal form, his naked, bold posture looking down at me from behind the wolves, Fae and Lycan that stood in his way to get to me.

“You don’t know what you’ve done now,” Randy snarled. “No one disrespects our Luna.”

The rogue scoffed. “Oh, please. I’ve seen how he treats her. She’s his little bed slave that he visits in the barracks late at night. I watched her bend over for that Lycan and then go to bed naked and alone in her cell like it’s normal.”

My stomach feel with those embarrassing words. Justin’s Lycan growled louder than ever before.

“You disrespect the Luna, then you die!” Randy gasped.

“You do not question the pack,” Russo added, firm with the line standing before me.

Even though they planned to rip this rogue apart limb by limb, I was still curious and confused. “Wait,” I panted. “I have a question.”

I stood at last, everyone watching me, except my Lycan mate who was staring daggers through the rogue. I tried to walk froward, only falling to my knees in between the two sides of opposition.

I didn’t fear this rogue. Something made me sure he wasn’t here to kill me.

“Scott never mentioned a brother,” I said, bleeding on the verge of passing out. “Who are you—really?”

He stood proud. “I am William. My brother never mentioned me because I went rogue at a young age. I was older than him and I would have defeated him in the duel ship for the Alpha title. When I heard he died, I wanted to make sure I planned how to exact revenge.”

“You will die,” Randy snarled.

My Lycan mate howled, the sound piercing even my ears but as I doubled forward, I could see that William was hardly affected at all.

He looked at me the same way Scott used to look at me.

Like he wants to devour me and not completely in a good way, either.

“Why are you here then?” I gusted. “You cannot defeat The Last Lycan.”

He smiled proudly. “Actually, bed slave, I can.”

I winced at his nickname for me but when I looked over my shoulder, I saw Oscar step back in warning. I couldn’t determine why unless he already knew him somehow.

“Oscar,” I breathed. “What’s wrong?”

The rogue I met with all the pixies seemed stunned and frightened. “Luna, this wolf is one that I know well. He is the one who built an encampment for the pixies.”

I instantly felt furious. Those pixies trusted me and even named me their queen, so of course I felt responsible for their safety. But that had me curious on what William was doing with the ones he captured already.

“What are you doing to them?” I growled. “Did you kill them all?”

William laughed and Russo had to hold back my mate who needed to rip into William’s throat as soon as possible. I managed to stand, wobbly, blood seeping down my back.

“Tell me what you’ve done to those pixies.”

Scott’s older brother grinned wickedly. “They are alive. I have them creating pixie dust for me in my dungeon. Did you know, when you squeeze their little bodies as tight as possible, their heads explode.”

I winced and he enjoyed the sight of it.

I didn’t want to listen to how he tortured them, it made me ill to consider how evil he was being to such innocent little creatures.

Justin charged forward, as did the others, but William held his hand out and swiped it through the air, throwing everyone on their backs while a light dusting of pixie sparkle came over the arena.

It looked like glitter reigned down from the ceiling and speckled all of us. The others were sitting up, fighting to collect themselves, but no one could move quick enough.

William stalked over to me, the only one left standing, and his fist found the collar of my dress. He brought me into his warm, muscular chest and I shuddered, pressed against the naked brother of my first fated mate.

“I’ll be back for you Luna, then maybe you can see what my dungeon looks like.”

He winked quick and just when I thought he would release me and walk away, he slammed me forward, our heads butting while my vision went a little blurry.

It was a long minute before I realized his lips had locked onto mine and I coughed, gaging as his tongue invaded my lips.

I thrashed in his arms, trying to fight him, but his strength was oddly unmatched.

He felt down the pixie made dress that I wore, his hand brushing the curve of my ass with a smile on his mauling, uninvited lips.

He finally released me with a push and I fell, breathless and fighting to catch a steady inhale. I whimpered on the floor, humiliated and frustrated and confused.

William stalked out of the arena without being stopped. The others were still writing on the arena floor, in searing pain from whatever he had done to everyone with the pixie dust.

Maybe it has given him power, I don’t know, but I crawled to Justin at once.

His Lycan was still in control and when I picked up his head, his claws came to my neck. He gripped my chin tight and held it there, bringing his nose to my mouth at once.

He inhaled a long, drawn out breath and I shivered when he released I had been kissed by that evil, familiar rogue. Justin slowly stood up, shifting into his mortal form as he kept a strained, firm grip on my neck.

“You reek of that mutt,” he snarled.

“He forced a kiss onto me, Justin, I would never do that to you,” I pleaded for him to believe me. “He touched me and kissed me and…”

I shook my head, keeping back how it really felt like it was Scott doing that to me. I finally stood but Justin’s eyes were blacker than night. He kept me on my knees before him.

“No. You stay right there, mate. I’m going to get his disgusting scent off your lips.”

I coward at his will but agreed. Justin did technically just lose the first fight of his life, other than when I stabbed him. He needed control and affection and as much as I didn’t want to feel his harsh love right now, I knew he needed it.

He sent everyone away at once and I sat on my knees, praying to the moon goddess that no matter what will happen, that William wouldn’t come between me and my Lycan.

We won’t survive anymore turmoil.
