Chapter 113
Helen POV
I looked stunning for the first time in forever!
“Helen, get up, it’s time to—”
The beta stopped in the mouth of the barracks, his eyes wide as could be. “Oh. Wow.”
I smiled, turning to show off the pedal ripples of my dresses hem when I spun around. I giggled lightly, the little pixies doting over the sight of me.
The fabric was nude, almost beige, and looks liked I had been dressed in crystals and webs of handmade lace.
Russo came down into the barracks next and stopped, staring at the sight of me.
“Damn, little wolf. You look beautiful!”
I blushed. “Thank you, both. The pixies do have a few little tricks up their sleeves.”
Randy nodded, his face falling. “Well, Justin said Oscar can join True Mates pack this weekend because he helped fight off the rogues. I don’t know how he will feel about the pixies though.”
“Maybe you should leave them here for now just to make sure your mate is in a good mood,” Russo suggested. “We have to be at the arena soon before the other wolves come in. Let’s get going.”
I nodded, brushing Freya to sit on my cot while I waltzed out into the sunlight. My dress was magnified in crystals and light so being in the sunlight only made it a million times more beautiful.
Randy and Russo looked away from me for a long moment an di wondered if I had done something wrong. I finally stopped the beta, my hand resting on the back of his arm as we approached the arena doors.
“What is wrong? Did Justin say something about me to you?”
Randy’s brow furrowed. “What? No, Luna. If anything, he was lenient about you running into the fight with the rogues.”
I crossed my arms and hissed, “Then why are you and the Fae acting so weird?”
Russo scratched the back of his neck, still avoiding my eyes. “Well, little wolf… it’s just that… you look very…”
“Do I look bad?” I sulked.
Randy answered quickly. “No, Luna, of course not. You just look really, really good.”
“Almost too good,” Russo whispered.
I furrowed my brow and looked at my dress. In retrospect, it really only covered my nipples and my sex below. The fabric was sheer and crystalized, hugging my body so much that I guess I never knew how my figure had changed.
I was a Snow White now and I could track how my wolf changes simply by the single, bright color I had become. But to see my body in this form, my skin clear and my complexion even, I guess I never considered how much Justin has changed me.
Randy finally broke the tensile silence and waved me forward. “Let’s get inside, Luna. The games will start soon.”
They both opened the doors for me and I ducked into the arena, coming into the middle of the large dome of a building, my mate sitting out on the platform that sat over the dirt pit below.
I spied him instantly, bossing the warriors around on how to adequately prepare for the opening ceremony. I held my dress up as I descended down to the platform.
Justin turned briefly, catching the sight of me by chance, but when he turned back, he froze. He swiveled around on his heels to see my dress and my form fitting attire in this gown.
He looked somewhere between pissed, pleased and turned on.
I guessed that was a good thing but it was hard to know for sure.
He held a hand over his mouth and paused. “Randy, come here.”
His beta stood at his side and Justin pointed at me. I felt a little insecure by his reaction, wondering if he was going to punish Randy for allowing me out of the house while wearing this outfit.
“Who gave her that dress?”
Randy tipped his head, avoiding the sight of me altogether. “Apparently, Alpha, the pixies wanted to dress their queen today.”
The beta fought back a chuckle but Justin shut it down quickly. He snarled a noise and Randy bowed his head again. My mate stalked froward at last, circling me like a shark in bloody water.
He pulled my hair back, drawing his fingertips down over my shoulder and then trailing off before he would come into contact with my breast.
“Moon goddess,” Justin grumbled. “This is going to be difficult.”
I stepped back, ashamed. “I’m sorry, Justin. If you hate it, I can—”
“Shh,” he purred, brushing my cheek simply.
He grabbed a few locks of my curly hair and yanked me forward, our lips colliding in an electric clash. Justin swiped his tongue against my gums and moaned, kissing me so deep that my knees wanted to buckle.
I panted and moaned into he kiss as well, feeling warmth settle in my core and beg for his Lycan.
“Alpha,” Randy said, practically begging, “Her heat. It’s strong.”
Justin finally plucked his lips away in surrender. “This is going to be hard to contain,” my alpha purred. I watched his hand rub over the new budding erection under his zipper. “Come here.”
He haphazardly yanked me forward and when Justin sat down on the grand, gold chair that Alpha King Juden had sat in before, he pulled me onto his lap.
My throbbing sex brushed his arousal and I shivered, perched comfortably in his lap.
I crossed my ankles, folded my hands neatly in my lap and settled.
Justin come forward and bit the fleshy pad of my ear. “You stay right there, mate, and I think you and me can find something fun to do after these games are over.”
My heart, wolf and spirit soared with that promise.
“Anything for you, Alpha.”
