Chapter 1: Overcoming a Troubled Past

Russell’s P.O.V

As I walked into the bar The Odyssey, I am remined on how I came to get this job.

Flashback

“Russ? What are we going to do? We got fired and it is all my fault.”

“No, it is not, Rem. We will find another one, trust me ok.”

“Ok.” We walked back to my apartment and my long-term friend Jett stands there waiting for me.

“Hey man, what’s up?”

“There is an opening where I work, I remember you telling me how bad the conditions are for Remy, so if your interested I can get you in.”

“Of course, man, we just got fired tonight so I am going to need a job fast, we both do.”

“Then here take this business card and call him ASAP, I know Jericho is interested in getting one of his friends in, so if you are first you will have a better chance, especially with a word from me.”’

“What’s the job?” “Bartender, Jericho is the head so he will be your boss, which is why he is probably getting one of his friends in there. Why were the two of you fired? Do not tell m…..”

“Yes, exactly what you are thinking. I refused to sleep with him again. He warned me that if I refused him next time then it will be mine and Russ’s jobs on the line. I am so sorry, Russ. Maybe I shou…”

“No, don’t you ever think that way Remy, it isn’t your fault that your boss is a pervert.”

“He’s right Rem.”

“I know but I still can’t help feeling guilty about it.”

“Well Don’t.”

We walked into the apartment, and I left the room to make my phone call which got me an interview the very next day.

Back To Present

I have been working there for six months now, and Remy has been for about three months.

“Boss wants to see you, Russ.”

“Ok, thanks man.” I walked straight to Aston’s office before heading to the employee’s lounge. I knocked on the door before entering his office.

“Come In.”

“You wanted to see me, boss.”

“Yes, I wanted to let you know that you and your sister is doing a wonderful job, and I have no regrets on taking you both on. We do have some changes to be made though, my sister Jessica will be taking over as the floor manager and Jericho will be bar manager, which will make you the head bartender, also Jess wants to train your sister as head barmaid which also includes taking over our website. Right now, Jerica has the position of maintaining the website, which is only because she is a web design major and needs the internship.”

“Thank you boss, we will not let you down. You do not know how much you have helped my sister and I.”

“Hey, don’t mention it.”

I walked out of the office and was met by an irate Gilbert. “What did you do to get the job of head bartender over me?”

“I don’t know, but it was the boss’ decision.”

“I bet it was your sister, boss has been showing interest in her lately.”

“What are you implying Gilbert?”

“That she sold herself to the devil for a better position.”

“My sister isn’t like that, and you know it, your just upset because she won’t give you the time of day.” I say as he walks away knowing very well that spoke the truth. He has been trying to get with Remy ever since she started working here. And she kept on refusing his advances on her. I made my way over to the bar where I noticed Jericho and Jessica in some kind of meeting.

“Jess, you can’t do that to my sister, this job and internship means the world to her and to give it someone who has only been here for three months is just Ridiculous.”

“Do you want to loose your job, Jer?”

“Are you threating me Jess?”

“Of course not, but don’t let my brother hear you talk to me like that.”

“Listen, why her?”

“You have to admit Jer, she works harder than anyone including your sister who only cares about where her next lay will be.”

“Your right, I am surprised that your brother hasn’t fired her yet for coming on to him and then trying to get him jealous by sleeping with any guy that shows her the slightest bit of attention.”

“So, you understand?”

“Yes, it’s just she is my sister, and I had to say something in her defense.”

“I also understand where you are coming from. Now that this taken care of, let us get this place presentable for our customers.”

I start wiping down the counter and within ten minutes my sister enters.

“Hey Jett, Carson.” I heard my sister’s voice ring out through the bar as Jerica shakes her head in jealousy and disbelieve. “Hey beautiful.” Jett greets her, I always knew he had feelings for her especially with the way he acted when we got fired because she would not sleep with our boss. “Hi Rem.’ Greeted Carson. “We need you on the floor, so you better get in the back and get ready to work hard.” Jerica sternly put your two cents in.

“Hey sis, Aston wants to see you in his office.”

“Ok, thanks.”

Remy’s P.O.V.

I left the front of the bar and went up to Aston’s office. Once I got to the door I knocked on it.

“Come in.”

“Hi boss you wanted to see me?” I asked in a cheery voice.

“Yes, I have a few things to go over with you. Jessica is going to train you as her assistant and head barmaid. Also, the job position includes maintaining our website, I know Jerica is maintaining it now but as soon as her internship is over you will be taking it over. I will have her train you on that. Next, this is not work related.”

“Thanks for the opportunity, boss. I will work hard to live up to your expectations.” I said with a proud and confident voice.

“Good, because you already do Remy, which is why you were given this position, you deserve the promotion.” He says as he walks over to me. “I know of the problems you were having with your old boss, but what I have to say doesn’t come close to what he has done to you.” He says as he runs a finger up and down my arm. “I have genuine feelings for you and would like to start a real relationship with you.”

“Sorry, what did you say?” I said with shock and surprise in my voice.

“I think that I am falling in love with you.” He says just as he leans into me claiming my lips with his own. Returning the kiss of the man that I not only admired from afar but also developed feelings for. The kiss became deep and full of passion in which we then started to undress each other. He then placing me on is desk started to eat me out while his hands and fingers explored the rest of my body. When he was satisfied he then slammed into me.

“AHHH, OH YES, PLEASE DON’T STOP!!!”
