Chapter 1
Lyanna's POV
I stood in front of the fitting room mirror, looking at the gorgeous white gown I was wearing, my heart beating a little faster.
This was my Luna ceremony dress.
Pure white silk fabric, exquisite embroidered patterns, and those silver decorations symbolizing Luna status—every detail reminded me that in three days, I would officially become this pack's Luna.
"Lyanna, how do you like this one?" The seamstress Emma carefully adjusted the hem beside me.
"It's perfect." I gently touched the silver crescent moon embroidery on my chest, my voice trembling. "Even more beautiful than I dreamed."
Emma smiled. "Alpha Damon will be absolutely stunned when he sees you."
At the mention of Damon's name, I couldn't help but blush.
From an unknown Omega to becoming the most honored Luna of the entire pack—it all felt like a dream.
I examined myself in the mirror. The white gown made my skin look even more porcelain, and the moonstone-studded belt perfectly outlined my figure.
"Emma, do I really deserve this dress?" I suddenly felt insecure.
"Of course!" Emma said firmly. "You're personally chosen by Alpha Damon. Of course you deserve it."
Personally chosen...
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but recall that night three years ago, how our story began.
Back then, I was too timid to even look Damon in the eye. At every pack gathering, I would hide in the most remote corner, secretly watching that dazzling Alpha heir on stage.
He was too perfect. Golden hair that shimmered in sunlight, deep blue eyes like the ocean, and that natural regal bearing.
Other girls were all competing for attention, hoping to be noticed by him. And me? I felt even approaching him was a luxury.
"Emma, do you know how Damon and I got together?" I asked while adjusting the dress sleeves.
"Of course!" Emma said excitedly. "The whole pack's been talking about this romantic story. I heard it was at the Hunt Festival three years ago?"
"Yes." I nodded, eyes full of memories. "That night changed my entire life."
Three years ago, on the night of the Hunt Festival, I was in my small room organizing the herbs I'd gathered during the day. Celebration sounds came from outside, and I was alone in my room, feeling somewhat melancholy.
Back then, I always secretly cared about him. Whenever I heard he was in a bad mood, I would quietly leave some calming herbs at his door. Whenever he got injured during training, I would silently prepare healing herb balm.
What he liked, what he disliked—I remembered it all.
But he never noticed me. In his eyes, I was as transparent as air.
Suddenly, my door was pushed open.
I was startled and turned around to see—it was Damon!
He stood drunkenly at the door, smelling of alcohol, his eyes hazy but focused on me. Moonlight spilled over him, making him seem unreal.
"You are..." He slowly walked toward me, reaching out to gently caress my cheek.
I was too nervous to speak, my heart beating so fast it felt like it would jump out of my chest. This was our first time being so close.
Then, something incredible happened.
He kissed me.
He actually kissed me!
His lips were warm and soft, carrying a faint scent of wine. My mind went blank; I could only feel his warmth and breath.
"Don't leave me." He whispered in my ear, his voice carrying a kind of vulnerability.
Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably. These were tears of joy.
The Moon Goddess had finally heard my prayers.
"Then what? Then what?" Emma urged me to continue, her eyes full of anticipation.
"The next morning, I thought it was all a dream." I laughed softly and shook my head. "After all, he was drunk. How could he possibly remember what happened last night?"
"But he remembered, didn't he?"
"Yes." I nodded. "He came looking for me."
The very next morning, Damon came to my room.
"Lyanna, I remember everything from last night." He looked at me seriously, his eyes gentler than ever before. "I want to be with you."
I almost thought I was still dreaming.
These three years, we walked together in the forest, he taught me hunting skills, made flower crowns for me, embraced under the starry sky. Last year on the full moon night, we mated by the sacred pool—it was the most beautiful night of my life.
Two months ago, he proposed to me.
When he knelt on one knee, holding a ring made of moonstone and said "Be my Luna," I was so excited I nearly fainted.
"Emma, don't you think I'm the luckiest woman in the world?" I turned around, letting her adjust the back of the dress.
"Absolutely! From a little Omega to Luna—your life is literally a legend!"
I nodded, my heart full of contentment.
In three days, I would wear this beautiful dress and stand with Damon in front of all the pack members, officially becoming his mate.
Those who once looked down on me would all have to bow to me. I would wear the crown symbolizing Luna status, becoming the most honored woman in the entire pack.
From now on, I would no longer be that little Omega who only dared to secretly admire from afar.
I would govern the pack with Damon, have adorable children, and live a happy, fulfilling life.
"Lyanna, please turn around once more. Let me check the hem length." Emma directed me.
I obediently spun in a circle, the dress hem drawing a beautiful arc in the air.
"Perfect!" Emma clapped in admiration.
Hearing this, my face reddened again.
Although we'd been together for three years, thinking of his expression when he sees me in this wedding dress still made me shy.
"Emma, do you think many people will come to the Luna ceremony?"
"Of course! Everyone in the pack will come, plus representatives from other packs. After all, this is the grandest ceremony our pack has had in decades!"
Thinking of taking vows in front of so many people made me both nervous and excited.
"Don't be nervous. You'll be the most beautiful bride." Emma comforted me. "I've been making dresses for so many years, and I've never seen a girl more suited for a wedding gown than you."
Looking at myself in the mirror, it really felt like a dream. The white dress and the Luna crown I was about to wear—everything was telling me that my fairy tale was about to have a perfect ending.
"Lyanna, are you satisfied? If there's anything that needs adjusting..."
"No need for adjustments." I interrupted Emma. "This dress is already perfect."
"Oh right, there's also the veil. I almost forgot. Let me get it for you to try on."
After Emma left, I spun around in front of the mirror, reluctant to take it off.
Just as I was fantasizing about Damon's expression when he sees me in this dress, an unfamiliar female voice came from outside the door:
"Excuse me, is this the fitting room?"
That voice instantly pulled me out of my beautiful reverie...
