Chapter 3 What's up with Alex?
The assistant looked at his boss, who seemed a little lost in thought. A handsome man around 29 years old with fair skin, neat straight hair, a pointed nose and blue eyes. He clearly looked like a dashing young executive.
"Ahem! What's the matter, Mr Dixon? I mean Alpha, do you know that young woman?" asked Beta Roni slowly.
"I don't know, Beta Beta Roni, but he reminds me of someone... Jenny!" he exclaimed pensively, holding his slightly long chin, which had no beard but a cleft.
"You mean Alpha? Is she... Mrs Jenny? Luna from Alpha Gerald William from Blackstone?" he asked softly.
"Ahem! Don't mention that bastard's name! I hate him! He took Jenny away from me!" Alpha Adrian said angrily.
"But Alpha... wasn't it... back then..." the assistant stopped speaking when he saw the man beside him staring at him angrily.
"Sorry Alpha for my impertinence!" The assistant, Beta Roni, fell silent again.
"Where's that woman's business card?" said Alpha Adrian Dixon again.
"Here, Alpha. What's your plan, Alpha?" asked Beta Roni curiously.
"Tell her to come to the company tomorrow morning. I have to confirm something... is she really Jenny or not! If she is Jenny, then I have to get her first! And don't let Alpha Gerald find out about this! Do you understand?" Adrian said threateningly.
"Understood, Alpha!" exclaimed Beta and the driver of the car.
“Now, drive the car to the company. I don’t have much time!” he shouted as he leaned back and closed his eyes.
‘Jenny… is that you? Are you really still alive? Where have you been for the past six years? Do you miss me?’ Adrian thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Jennifer had just arrived at the gate of the nursery school not far from her house. It turned out that the person who had called her earlier was from the school, asking her to come.
Jennifer didn't know, but it seemed that there was a problem with her son, Alexander, at school.
Jennifer jogged along with her long, slender legs, her beautiful hair moving in rhythm with her steps, but when she arrived at the headmaster's office, she saw her son being slapped by someone.
"You stupid child! No wonder you behave badly, it turns out... you don't have parents! You don't even know who your father is! No wonder you're a naughty child!" shouted the person as they slapped and pulled her son's ear.
Jennifer ran towards him as he was about to slap him a second time.
However, her hand was held back by Jennifer.
"Don't you dare slap my child! Don't test my patience, ma'am! I've seen enough of you slapping my child earlier!"
"Excuse me, ladies, please calm down! This is the headmaster's office, please sit down! We will discuss this!" said a teacher.
Finally, Jennifer let go of her hand and sat down on the chair provided. Jennifer hugged her son and sat down next to him.
"Sorry, Mrs Ross, we have to tell you that your son hurt his classmate at school earlier!" said a teacher in the headmaster's office.
"What? Hurt someone? Is that true, son?" Jennifer asked her son.
Alex, who had been looking down, raised his head, "Sorry, Mum! But it wasn't my fault, Mum! He started it, he teased me..."
"Alex, whatever the reason, it's not right for you to hurt someone just because they teased you, son!" said Jennifer softly.
"I'm sorry, Mum." Alex said, lowering his head again.
"Well, the boy has confessed, so what's the point of him still being at this school? Just expel him! Mum! I demand justice here! Look at my son's face, it's like he's been scratched by a wild animal! And look at his hands, they look like they've been bitten by fangs!! Is this normal? That devil child!" The mother showed her son's face and his hands, which were badly injured, as if they had been scratched by a wolf? And bitten by a wild animal?
Jennifer stared angrily at Mrs Jason's harsh words towards her son.
"Shut your mouth, woman! Don't speak harshly about my son! I will take responsibility for his injuries! Please treat your son's wounds first. But I will also demand justice! I cannot accept my child being treated and tortured by an adult woman! He is just a child! He is only five years old! So how will you take responsibility for this?" asked Jennifer, staring at the mother.
"What do you say, Mrs Jason?" asked the head teacher wisely.
"He started it first! Why am I being blamed? It's because I was emotional seeing my child's severe injuries! Am I not allowed to defend my child by teaching him a little lesson, Madam?" said Jason's mother, staring with arrogance and anger.
"That's right. The same thing happened to my child! Your child started it. Why is only my child being punished? Isn't that unfair? My child was just defending himself, wasn't he?" said Jennifer firmly.
"But your child is the one at fault here! He hurt my child first! Can't you see his severe injuries, huh?" Jason's mother still refused to admit her mistake.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the headmaster's door. "Come in!" said the headmaster.
"Please come in, Catherine!" said the teacher accompanying Catherine.
"Can Catherine explain to us what you explained to me earlier?" said the teacher, hugging her and crouching down slightly.
The little girl nodded.
"I can, Miss Joana. Earlier, while doing our homework, Jason took Alex's pencil, Miss! Alex asked for it back, but Jason wouldn't give it to him and instead teased Alex, hmm..." Catherine looked at Alex with a little hesitation.
Alex just nodded towards his friend's face.
"Jason said Alex was a bastard who didn't have a father, Miss! Alex asked him to stop teasing him, but Jason wouldn't stop. Jason pushed Alex first, Miss! So Alex fought back! But Jason ganged up on him with some of his other friends and they lost, Miss! Alex really overwhelmed them! Alex is great, Miss!" said Catrin.
"Enough, Catherine, now go back to your class, okay?" said Mrs Joana.
"Yes, ma'am. Goodbye, Alex!" she shouted, waving her hand.
Jennifer looked at her son, who was still looking down. Jennifer took a deep breath.
This problem again, always like this. Wherever they went, Alex was teased as a child without a father. Every time this happened, it always made her feel guilty.
"So, what do you think, Mrs Jason? You heard it, right?" said the headmaster.
"Either that girl is lying or she was paid by this child's mother! Either way, my son did nothing wrong!" she insisted, unconcerned.
"Don't exaggerate, ma'am! I just got here! How could I pay someone to lie about your child? What would I gain from that? I'm new here, I don't even know you or that child! That's too much!" Jennifer began to get a little emotional.
"I'm sorry, Mrs Jason, it wasn't just Cathrine who saw the incident, the whole class knows. Do you want me to call all the children here?" the headmistress looked wisely at Mrs Jason.
"Now, Alex, would you like to apologise to Jason?" asked the headmistress.
"I will, Madam." Alex stepped forward without hesitation and held out his hand. "I'm sorry, Jason!"
Jason's mother looked annoyed. But it wasn't Jason; she stepped forward to take Alex's hand. "I'm sorry too, Jason, for insulting you and hitting you!"
Then the two hugged briefly and smiled.
"So that's how this school responds? I still don't accept it! I will have this child expelled from school! If not, I will sue him and demand compensation because my child was seriously injured!" She pulled her son out of the headmistress's office roughly.
And Jennifer just sighed deeply, "What a truly unlucky day!"
