Chapter 394

Daisy’s POV

I couldn't believe Victor was leaving. Couldn’t he stay with me at the beach house for just one day?

An emptiness in the pit of my stomach started when he turned to leave. It grew after he went out the door. Through our bond, I felt his painful, churning emotions and wondered if he was finished with me.

I couldn’t lose him! I’d return to Denhurst this minute and marry him in any ceremony his mother wanted. The only thing that really mattered about my wedding was Victor must be the groom.

I had to stop him from leaving. I needed to know what was on his mind and in his heart.

Running out the door after him, I saw him climb into his car and start the engine.

“No!” I cried as I jumped in front of the Lamborghini. “Don’t leave me, Victor. I love you!”

The Lamborghini’s engine stopped, and Victor leaped out of the driver’s seat. He hurried to my side.

“Why won’t you stay with me?” I asked.

“I thought you wanted to be here alone,” Victor replied. His body was trembling with emotion. “It’s what you said.”

“No,” I wanted a little time here with you to get my mind straight before facing everyone and their ideas for our wedding again.”

He took me into his arms. “Are you sure you want me to stay?”

I nodded and buried my face in his neck. “Please, I love you. Don’t go.”

“Does that mean you still want to be with me?” Victor asked while looking into my eyes.

“Yes,” I said. “More than anything. Can we go back inside and talk? There’s something bigger than marriage that I want to talk to you about.”

Victor looked surprised when he took my hand and led me inside. We went upstairs to the primary bedroom deck.

“When I thought the sea was taking you from me, I couldn’t bear it,” he said as we sat next to each other on deck chairs. “Why did you run from me on the beach, my love? You could have drowned.”

“I was ashamed for running away from the party and for making you worry all night,” I admitted. “You had every right to be angry and hurt. And I feel selfish for wanting every detail of the wedding to be exactly what I want.”

“But why run into the water?” he asked.

“I was so upset that I didn’t realize what I was doing,” I explained. “When I was in the water up to my waist, the water began to pull me out to sea, and I couldn’t turn around.”

“Rip tides are dangerous,” Victor said. “And they are hard to spot. Most people don’t know what to look for.”

“It wasn’t very wide,” I told him. “Once I stopped fighting it and swam parallel to the beach like you told me to, I was out of the rip tide in no time.”

“Thank the Goddess, you are safe.” Victor squeezed my hand. “I could never have forgiven myself if you would have drowned.”

I leaned over and kissed him. “It was my fault. Instead of running away, I should have found you at the party and told you what was happening.”

“If we are still getting married, that’s what we will do,” Victor said. “We will make our plans, and anyone who wants to help can help make those plans happen.”

“You are the sweetest man.” I moved onto his lap. “I’m not very good at telling people no. How do you do it?”

“I merely stick to my boundaries,” Victor explained. “It’s healthy to have boundaries and to expect others to respect them. If anyone doesn't do so, I say something or avoid them depending on their importance in my life.”

“You need to teach me how to do that,” I said. “Do I stay within your boundaries?” I nibbled in his ear.

“It doesn’t matter if you do or not,” Victor said. “You are the most important thing in my life.”

I kissed him and let my tongue slip into his mouth. My passion rose as his tongue dueled with mine, and his hands began to roam over my body.

He untied my bikini top and freed my breasts to his gaze and touch. He took one in each hand and caressed them, making my head fall back, and a soft moan escaped from my mouth.

I ran my fingers through his soft, thick hair when he began to run his tongue over my skin. Feeling his rising lust, I was ready when he picked me up and carried me inside to the bed.

I slipped off my shorts and bikini bottom and waited on the bed while he stripped out of his clothes.

Victor was magnificent naked. I would never tire of looking at his incredible male form.

“You are the hottest guy alive,” I told him. “Your face and body make my womanhood ache with need for you.”

He climbed into the bed at my side. “I never thought I’d hear shy little Daisy talk like that. Do it some more.”

I giggled and kissed him. “Your gorgeous face is as sexy as your hard, perfect body. You make me crazy with wanting every time I look at you.”

I began to trail kisses down his throat to his broad chest. “I want to kiss every inch of you.”

As I worked my way down his body, he spun me around and on top of him. His mouth connected with my womanhood as I took his rod into my mouth.

As I suckled and enjoyed his expert attention to my woman’s jewel, I continued to speak to him telepathically.

“Yes, my darling. How you make me crazy with passion. That feels incredible.”

He spread my flesh with his thumbs while his tongue flicked over my most sensitive spot.

“Your sweet mouth is going to unman me soon, my love,” he replied. “You should be ready to pull back.”

“No,” I said. “I want to taste your love juices like you taste mine.”

I began to suckle faster and harder as my climax neared.

“Daisy, aah, sweetheart, I’m about to spill my seed,” Victor moaned aloud before continuing to make love to me with his mouth.

“Yes!” Victor cried as I felt his manhood begin to spasm, and a warm, salty fluid filled my mouth.

It tasted strange but not unpleasant. My mind was more involved in the earth-shattering climax that was coursing through my body.

It was intense and seemed to go on for minutes.

Afterward, I was so relaxed I felt like I was floating. I turned to lay in his arms, the afterglow of our lovemaking encasing us in its warmth.

“I love you, Daisy,” Victor said as he gently pushed my hair back from my face. “No woman has ever made me feel like you do.”

“And I love you,” I said. “You are the only man I’ve ever been with, but I know I’ll never want or need any other.”

Victor pulled me closer. “I came close to losing you today. We must take care not to let anything pull us apart again.”

“I’ve read that even the best relationships require work to stay fresh,” I said. “We must put in that work.”

“A few days here, talking and making love will be a good start,” Victor said.

“You’ll stay with me for a few days?” I whispered.

“I’ll stay as long as you like,” he replied and kissed my cheek.

We stayed at the beach for two more days and nights. We talked, walked the beach, and made love. Our laughter often rang throughout the beach house, and we became more devoted to each other than ever.

After lunch on the third day, we decided to walk the jetty. But halfway there, Victor stopped and turned to me with a wary look in his sapphire eyes.

“What’s wrong,” I asked.

Victor nervously ran a hand through his hair. “I’m not pushing you to marry me, but what did you mean when you said you had something to discuss with me that’s bigger than marriage?”

I wasn’t sure if it was the right time to discuss it. Yet, I had to tell him how I felt.

“You don’t want to get married, right?” he guessed. “Do you want to keep living together?”

I shook my head. “Where did you get the idea that I don't want to marry you?”

“I thought that’s what you had to think about while we were here,” Victor replied.

I put my arms around him and looked into his eyes. “I want to marry you more than anything.”

He grinned and kissed me. “Then what’s the thing you’re thinking about that’s bigger than marriage?”

“I want to have your baby,” I replied.
