Chapter 352

Victor pulled me by my hand through the swinging door and into the restaurant kitchen a split second before a chair splintered against the door frame.

“We’ve got to get out of here,” I said, listening to more things crash against the door behind us. “Come on.” I pointed at the metal door marked exit.

We crossed the kitchen, ignoring the surprised faces of the kitchen staff, and hurried out the back door. We clung to each other and cautiously walked around the block to Victor’s car.

“John and the faction have done an excellent job at destroying our reputations,” I said once we were safely inside the Lamborghini.

“The Alpha population’s anger at us is worse than I thought,” Victor admitted and pulled away from the curb. “It’s disappointing that they believe every negative thing they are told.”

“I’m more than disappointed,” I said. “I’m angry. They want to believe what the faction tells them about us to justify their opposition to the new laws.”

I clenched my teeth in frustration. “And they wrecked Mr. Gray's restaurant because we had a good table to celebrate your birthday. It’s outrageous!”

“I agree.” Victor sped through the streets and onto the highway that would take us back to the mansion.

“I’m sick and tired of the situation,” I said. “But we can’t let John and the faction win.”

“I couldn’t agree more,” Victor pulled off the road and turned on the interior lights. “Daisy, I’m as angry as you. The only thing John Cameron has accomplished is to make me more determined to hold onto the leadership.”

“I’m glad to hear it,” I said. “Because I feel the same way. We will find a way to come through this stronger than ever.”

“And we are going to accomplish the necessary changes in our laws and society,” Victor declared.

“We need to secure your hold on the leadership first,” I said. “We should gather all of our allies at the mansion for dinner and brainstorm ways to weaken the faction’s hold on the minds of Alphas.”

“That’s an excellent suggestion,” Victor praised. “Let’s make a list when we get home of who to ask to attend the meeting.”

Victor turned off the interior lights and pulled back onto the road.

I caressed his bicep. “I’m sorry your birthday celebration was ruined.”

He turned his head and grinned. “I’m still going home with the most beautiful woman at my party …and the world.”

“But you didn’t get any birthday cake,” I complained. “What’s a birthday without cake?”

“You can make it up to me when we go to bed,” he said. His voice was soft and sexy.

“That’s a wonderful idea,” I purred, thinking about another purchase I made that day. “I know just how to make it up to you.

After arriving at the mansion, we went to the living room, and I grabbed my tablet. We sat on the couch and made a list of allies we wanted at the dinner meeting.

Every person we trusted was on the list. It cheered us up that the list was longer than we had expected.

“I’d better alert Benson that we are having guests tomorrow evening. And I want him to participate in the meeting,” I said. “I’ll see you in our bedroom in fifteen minutes.”

Victor gave me a private smile. “I’m looking forward to it.”

Benson promised to take care of the details of the dinner and promised to be there for the meeting.

Then I slipped into the kitchen for dessert. Placing the quart of ice cream in a paper bag, I took it upstairs.

Victor was in the shower, which gave me time to prepare his surprise dessert.

I stripped off my dress and underwear and put on the black fishnet teddy I bought earlier.

Lying on the bed in a sexy pose, I held the ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other when Victor emerged from the bathroom.

The look on his face told me the teddy was a good choice. Victor looked as if he was starving, but not for dessert.

Still, I dug the spoon into the ice cream and slowly ran my tongue over it.

Victor circled the bed, taking in every inch of me in the fishnet teddy. “That looks good,” he said in a husky voice.

“It is, but I forgot to bring a bowl.” I teasingly licked ice cream from the spoon again.

Victor removed the towel from around his waist and sat on the bed.

I pushed him onto his back. “I guess I’ll have to improvise,” I said and smeared vanilla ice cream over his broad chest.

Victor moaned as I began to lick the ice cream from his body. “Daisy, you drive me wild.”

His words encouraged me to greater naughtiness, and I smeared ice cream around his belly button, making him groan when my mouth cleaned every bite of the melty treat from his skin.

Next, I smeared the ice cream thickly over his manhood and looked into his eyes while I slowly lowered my head.

His manhood jumped when my tongue made contact with it, and Victor hissed with pleasure as I lapped up the sweet, melted treat.

After the sweet taste of the ice cream was gone, I leisurely took him deep into my mouth and worked him in and out until he begged me for more.

“Let me make love to you now, sweetheart,” he said. “I want you badly.”

“But it’s your birthday,” I said and climbed on top of his sexy, hard body.

“I am so lucky to have such a hot mate,” I told him as I placed his hands on the fishnet material covering my breasts.

“I’m the lucky one,” Victor said as his hands squeezed my flesh.

Eager to have him inside me, I pulled the bottom of the teddy aside and guided his manhood to the opening of my throbbing love channel. Then I slowly let him slide into my warm moistness.

“Yesss,” I moaned as I began to move in rhythm with our rising desires.

“Daisy,” Victor groaned as he ran his hands over my fishnet-covered curves. “You are magnificent, my love.

His hands grasped my hips and urged me to move faster.

I sensed he was as ready as I was a second before my passion peaked. We climaxed together before I collapsed on top of him.

The following evening, Benson had the cook prepare a scrumptious meal for our guests and had it served in the formal dining room. It raised our spirits to see all the support Victor and I still had.

Amy, Justin, Elliot, and Andrew Archer arrived first. Then Jayden, Shane, Dr. Clark, Lucy, Findlay, Tony, Russ Edwards, Charles Thomas, Casey and Mitch Long, Carrie and Doug Brady, Harry and Lana, and William and Penny were soon coming in the door.

It felt good to be surrounded by people we could trust.

The meeting generated many excellent suggestions to combat the misinformation being used against us. The idea I liked best was having a press secretary giving daily reports and taking questions from the press.

A press secretary would give us better communication with all news platforms.

I also thought it would be a good idea to repeat the truth as often as our opposition repeats their lies. And doing some investigative work to uncover the bribes the lying newscasters were taking made sense.

I was pleased to see Dr. Clark, and I hurried to speak to her as soon as the central portion of the meeting was over.

“Daisy, I’m glad to see you, dear,” Dr. Clark said.

“When they replaced you the last day I was on campus, I thought I had gotten you fired,” I said.

“Not a chance,” she assured me. “I had a migraine that day, but I have taken a sabbatical since then. The politics on campus are positively toxic.”

Before I could ask her more questions, there was a commotion outside the dining room. I heard Jayden's raised voice, and then a woman scream.

I hurried to the door and was horrified to see he had a woman pinned to the floor and was trying to take a small object from her fingers.

“Jayden, what are you doing?” The scene reminded me of the day the two jocks were trying to take my phone from me for recording them.

“I knew John managed to turn someone close to you, Daisy, but I didn’t know who it was until I caught her recording this meeting,” Jayden explained.

“It’s not possible she’s a spy,” I insisted. “I …I don’t believe it!”

“I’m sorry, Daisy, but she’s been working for the faction for weeks.”

All I could do was shake my head in disbelief as he pulled the woman from the floor and showed me the tiny camera in her hand.
