Chapter 1
Aries
He didn’t remember the name of the sea or his own.
All he knew, in the first moment of consciousness, was pain. Salt burned along the slashes in his skin as the waves rolled him forward, each surge of water dragging him deeper into the sand and then flinging him back like a ragdoll. The sand was hot, rough, unyielding beneath him, each grain scraping his ribs, his back, his arms. He tried to push up, but the movement made his head swim.
He tried to inhale. Seaweed flooded his mouth.
He choked. Coughing uncontrollably, spitting sand and brine, his throat raw, lungs aching. Groaning, he barely moved, letting the tide decide whether to drag him under or leave him to the sun.
His skin prickled with awareness, nerves screaming at him to react, to move, but his body refused. His body felt unusually heavy in some places, while light in others. As if he were part air, and part water.
His fingers twitched automatically, brushing against something rough and jagged. Shells? Driftwood? The thought passed too slowly; everything was foggy, every movement wrapped in pain and confusion. He couldn’t remember how he’d gotten here, couldn’t remember what he even was.
The world smelled of salt and decay, of wood and rotten kelp. Beneath all of it, a subtle shift caught his attention: a breeze brushed across the sand, so light he barely noticed it at first. It carried a scent that wasn’t salt or seaweed or blood. Something warm, honeyed, floral, a trace of sun itself. For just one impossible second, the pain dulled. He opened his eyes, which were covered in sand, and saw her.
She was kneeling next to him, curly hair whipped in the wind, skirt hem gathered in her hands. The colors that danced on her clothing were layers of purples, golds, and deep blues. These layers seemed like they didn’t belong to any single time period but somehow belonged on her. And her eyes… her eyes looked at him with a sort of recognition, while showing wonder, and fear, all at once.
He wanted to speak, to ask what had happened, to remember. But no sound came. His lips moved, meaningless words stuck in his throat. His limbs, trembling and weak, refused to obey.
Cleo
At first, she thought it was driftwood tossed ashore by the ocean’s tantrums. She had seen enough storms to know the sea left strange things behind: branches, tangled nets, pieces of boats, but this… this wasn’t wood.
She saw the flicker of a tail, scales like deep teal stone flashing in the sun. The impossible shape of a human face, turned toward her, half buried in sand.
Her breath caught somewhere between fear and awe.
He was alive. Barely. But alive. And he needed help.
Her mind raced, sorting through possibilities. Shipwreck? Magical sea creature? Dream? The stories her grandmother had told her as a child surged up: men with tails who could summon storms, sea brides, shipwreck lovers. She’d daydreamed about them and giggled, thinking them nothing but old folklore. Now… she wasn’t laughing.
He was breathing, weakly, shallow and ragged. His skin glistened with wet sand and blood, cuts tracing sharp lines across his body like lightning. His hair was tangled with seaweed and shells, plastered to his forehead. He looked so wounded, like if she touched him it would damage him more.
She swallowed hard. Whispering sounds and she processed what to do.
Her fingers trembled, but she knew she had to act. Kneeling beside him, careful not to jostle him too much. She brushed sand from his cheek and wiped at the blood crusting near his temple. The closer she got, the stronger the scent became: seawater, citrus, sandalwood, and something else she couldn’t name. Perhaps moonlight, if that had a smell. It made her heart twist in a way she didn’t understand.
Aries
The warmth and scent lingered. It was foreign, impossible. And yet it called to something buried deep in him, something old and unformed. Pain and confusion blurred together. Memory clawed at him, teasing and unreachable. He wanted to move toward her, to touch her, to understand why she smelled like the sky and sunlight and honey. But his body refused.
A wave of dizziness hit, and he felt himself slipping, mind and body teetering on the edge of unconsciousness again. The world became a whirl of sand, sun, and sound, the crash of waves, the whisper of wind, the soft, steady breathing of the woman kneeling beside him. She was real. She was alive.
His hand twitched. A futile gesture at first, but enough to draw her attention.
Cleo
She gasped when his fingers moved. Relief, fear, awe. It all collided in her chest. She couldn’t waste another second. The tide was low now, but it would rise. Sun burned on the sand, scorching and relentless, and she had no idea how long he could last like this.
“I need to get him somewhere safe,” she thought, her mind racing for options. Her house wasn’t far, just past the dunes, but it had only one bed. She would figure that out later. Right now, he needed her.
She scanned the beach. Driftwood, rocks, shells… maybe she could roll him onto something to drag him? She wasn’t strong enough to lift him outright. But a thought came, almost magically, as if the sea itself whispered a solution: she could wrap him in her coat, use the folds of her skirt as padding. Anything to keep him off the sand and move him.
Her hands moved instinctively, lifting and tugging at his arms. He groaned, a low, pained sound that made her heart tighten. The scales along his tail caught the sunlight, glinting like jewels.
A shiver ran down her spine. There was something unreal about him, something both terrifying and beautiful.
She whispered, “It’s okay. I’ve got you. You’ll be safe.”
He didn’t respond so she took that as permission to keep going.
Aries
Every movement burned. Muscles screamed in protest. But he trusted her, instinctively, as if some memory beyond reason told him this was safe. The smell, the warmth, the presence of her, it tethered him to the world he didn’t remember.
A glimmer of clarity flashed: she was important. Vital. Somehow tied to survival, tied to something he couldn’t yet name. He tried to speak, to call her name, but no words formed. Only a soft, ragged breath escaped him.
Cleo
She dragged him slowly, carefully, over the dunes, each step a negotiation with the sand and the weight of his body. He groaned, his tail slipping from her grasp, scales brushing against her palms, sticky with sand and salt. Her knees were scraped, her hands raw, but she didn’t stop.
She glanced back at the water, at the endless horizon. The ocean roared, but it seemed distant, like a warning she couldn’t ignore. He had been torn from it for some reason. She had to help him, had to understand what he was, who he was, and why fate, or folly had left him here, on this ordinary, extraordinary beach.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Her CEO Stalker and Her Second Chance Mate
“Where is that slut of yours, Creedon? Must be a hell of a lay. The coffee is going to be cold,” Michael complained. “What's the point in keeping her around? She's not even your breed.”
Not his breed?
“You know me, I like nice accessories, Besides, she is smarter than she looks."
An Accessory?
“Stop toying with the girl. You're letting her get too close to us. Not to mention the scandal you’ll have with the press once they realize she's a poor country girl. America will fall in love with her, you will just crush them when you’re done with her. Poor Image...” The sound of fits hitting the table silenced the room.
“She’s mine! She is no concern of yours. I can fuck her, breed her, or cast her aside, remember who's in charge here. “If I want to use her as a cum bucket, I will." His anger explosive.
Breed me? Cast me aside? Cum bucket? I think not!*
“She is pretty, but she’s of no value to you, Creedon. A pebble in a sea of diamonds, darling. You can have any woman you desire. Fuck her out of your system, and sign off on her,” Latrisha spat. “That one is going to become a pain in your ass. You need a bitch that will submit.”
Someone, please, come mop up the word vomit this woman has just spewed.
“I have her under control, Trisha, back the fuck off.”
**Control? Oh, hell naw! ** He hadn't met the take no bullshit southern bitch I could be.
Rage brewed as I elbowed open door.
Well, here goes everything.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.

Damien Sterling—future Alpha of the Silver Moon Shadow Pack and ruthless CEO of Sterling Group—slid a contract across his desk with predatory grace.
“Sign this, little doe, and I'll give you everything your heart desires. Wealth. Power. Revenge. But understand this—the moment you put pen to paper, you become mine. Body, soul, and everything in between.”
I should have run. Instead, I signed my name and sealed my fate.
Now I belong to the Alpha. And he's about to show me just how wild love can be.
