Introduction
The fire crackled in the hearth, shadows leaping across the stone walls. I sat stiffly on the edge of the leather couch, every nerve in my body screaming to run. He was behind me, I could feel it the weight of his presence pressed down like a storm about to break.
“Why are you so quiet?” Darren’s voice rolled low, a rumble that made the air vibrate.
“Because I don’t know what will get me killed,” I muttered, staring at my trembling hands.
He chuckled, the sound sharp, humorless. “You think too highly of yourself. If I wanted you dead, little rogue, you’d already be ash on that fire.”
I turned, meeting his eyes despite the terror clawing at my chest. “Then why keep me here? Why not finish it?”
His gaze darkened, and for a moment I thought he might. He moved closer, slow, deliberate, each step like the strike of a drum. When he stopped, towering above me, the room felt smaller, suffocating.
“Because you’re mine,” he said simply. No softness, no warmth just a fact, carved out of stone.
I flinched. “I never asked to be.”
He bent lower, his breath brushing my ear. “The moon doesn’t ask either. She commands. And so do I.”
His words settled into me like poison and honey at once, leaving me trembling with equal parts fury and need. I wanted to curse him, strike him, claw my way free but instead, I sat frozen, his shadow swallowing mine whole.

Chapter 1
chapter 1
Laura's POV.
I wasn't sure goodbyes were needed, I'd suffered too much from them, and my parents who don't act like one, they join them in treating me like trash, I couldn't even believe they were my parents.
"You shouldn't have been born." My father spat and I shivered.
"I don't even know why I didn't abort you." My mother said and my heart clenched in pain, I was used to the insults from the pack members, yet I never expected it from them.
I could hear rumors that I didn't look like my parents, that I wasn't their real child, when they did this to me, this made me believe it.
My mate rejected me,
"I would never want to be mates to be someone like you." He said while hitting me, laughing with his friends, enjoying seeing me this way, I cried every day wishing I was dead, wondering why I existed in the first place.
It didn't help that he was the alpha's son, he got away with whatever he did, he punished me for no reason, and he hit me with silver chains when he got extremely angry.
My thoughts went wide at what they had done to me because I can't remember ever offending them.
"I don't know why you gave me such a mate," I complained bitterly to the moon goddess.
Because even though I was treated badly right from time, I had waited patiently for my mate, having full assurance that my mate would always support and protect me. At Least that's what I heard that mates are to the one the moon goddess chooses for them.
"Mates are to be supportive of each other, love and care for each other, yet you gave me a cruel man as a mate, and he rejected me without even thinking twice," I spat, blaming the moon goddess
"I can't live this life anymore, I can't leave like this" I murmured to myself
I had begged the moon goddess to take away my life before, I don't know why I existed, there was no need to live when I suffered this way every day.
I tried living in the shadows, yet it was hard. I was the pack's scapegoat, their punching bag. So there was no way they wouldn't remember me as their punching bag no matter how invisible I tried to be.
It was worse when my parents and my mate who rejected me joined them.
"I'm tired," I said weakly but it was something I said every day. I was exhausted from going through this hell every day. And after so much thinking and deliberation, I finally came to a decision, it was a hard one but it was worth it.
I am leaving the pack for good.
My wolf whined in pain every day, it didn't seem to get little rest from all we went through together. But it was okay because I was already getting my things ready for my journey out of this damn place.
I didn't need to say goodbyes to anyone, it wasn't even needed, I was never loved by anyone.
As I left, everyone clapped happily while I, in tears, wished they called me back, but no one paid attention to my feelings, they made sure I knew that I was nothing to them. And as I left news was already spreading that I would be announced rogue immediately I passed the borders of the Pack.
I knew It was impossible to survive outside my pack but it was better than living in that hell of a place. My pack had branded me as a rogue immediately after I passed the Pack boundaries. That means I was exposed to harm from any Packs I encountered. That means I am now hated not just by my pack but by everyone and every Pack.
No one sees a rogue and shelters them or becomes close to them. Rogues are enemies to all and hated by all. They can be killed by other werewolves as meat and no one would say a word. That's why I have become a newly transformed rogue with a weak wolf who would not be able to do a thing if we get attacked by one pack or my rogue also.
But it was better to die outside the pack than to die in the hands of my own pack, staring into the eyes of the ones I call family. I would rather die out here
Although I was a rogue now, I feel better than when I was back in my pack. I feel I have control of my life again and for the first time in a long time a smile spread wide on my lips and I chuckled softly.
Walking down through the woods, I found a tree with ripe fruits on it. I plucked some as I continued my journey. I can now serve my own food and eat till I'm full. It might not be meat but the food being served for me back at the pack wasn't any better.
I didn't know where I was going, I just continued to walk. Around evening, I saw a stream and I happily went to drink from it. It was the moon goddess providing for me.
After drinking, I took off my clothes and walked into the stream naked. There was no one around so I was free to do whatever I liked. I have never been so relieved and free in my entire life
"Woah!" I exclaimed when I felt the cold water on my skin.
With a smile, I played in the stream and also laughed happily as I took my bath. This is the best day of my entire life!
I stayed in the water for a long time before I began to feel cold. I came out and changed into new clothes I had brought along before washing the old ones.
I wanted to continue my journey but seeing how dark everywhere had become, I closed my eyes before deciding to spend the night there. I was far from my Pack anyway so I won't be caught easily
As I rested my head in the spot near a big tree that was comfortable to sleep in, I remembered a story that was told to us when we were just little children. Not me included, but I overheard them talk about it
About the psychotic Alpha.
I don't know much because I was never allowed in such gatherings but I have heard of how wicked and ruthless he is. A werewolf who eats other werewolves. He is a beast that does not have a heart, like literally doesn't have a heart!
I really don't know why this has come to my mind today but I couldn't stop thinking about it. If there was anything that was going to catch me as I went to bed, dear moon goddess, may it not be the psychotic Alpha. Anyone else but him.
Everyone was terrified of him. And I remember hearing back then that anyone who crosses the boundaries is bound to be eaten by the psychotic Alpha.
"Oh moon goddess save me through this night and I promise not to get angry anymore at you for giving me such a mate" I muttered under my breath as I said these words of prayers to the moon goddess
Soon, I drifted to sleep without knowing.
It was the sounds of voices that woke me up, I don't know who was around but I could hear sounds.
I frowned in my sleep before I slowly began to open my eyes. The voice was getting louder so I jumped to my feet,
"It's going to be fine," I said to my wolf and myself also as I began to gather my things.
"We've caught the scent of a werewolf." I heard a voice say and my eyes widened in fear. My heart was beating louder in my chest.
"I think it's one of those rogues." Another voice said and I felt my heart drop to my stomach.
I'm dead
As they came closer, I rushed, hiding behind the huge tree. They came closer to the tree, and I used my hand to cover my mouth, stopping myself from doing anything that would attract them further.
But they were only coming closer and were inches away from the tree I was hiding. When I peeped to look, I was seen by the two men.
Before they could speak, I had begun to run with everything in me. I was running deeper into the forest and I could see them chase after me
"She's running, catch her." One of them said I ran faster.
"Moon goddess, why refuse my prayers? What did I do to you? Do you have me too?" As I questioned the moon goddess, I ran with all my strength
When I turned next to see where they had gotten, I saw that they had shifted into their wolf form.
"Shit" I cussed before I increased my speed but that only made me weaker because I was tired of running and my wolf wasn't helping either.
I winced as one tackled me to the floor, the wolf pounced on me, I tried to wiggle free, but he was incredibly stronger

He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
