Chapter 2 Marrying His Twin Brother
~AMELIA’S POV~
I got up from the chair, went in front of him and cupped his face in my palms. Staring deep into his hazel eyes, I planted a kiss on his lips.
However, as I was trying to walk away, he drew me closer, enclosing me into a passionate kiss.
I broke free from him, walked behind him, and placed my hands on his shoulder.
“Hans, it's just a marriage based on a contract. There is no big deal about that.”
I watched him sit there in silence, wondering what he was thinking.
Hans is the only weapon I want to use against Hams so the revenge would be more agonizing to him. And no matter what, I must pester Hans until he agrees to it.
He leaned back on the chair, lifted his eyes to look at me and he chuckled.
“Deal!”
My mind relaxed the moment he said that.
I quickly returned to my position, pulled out a document from the bag, and gently placed it on the table.
Earlier on before I arrived at this penthouse, I'd made a stop at the court and applied for a contract document.
Luckily, a close friend of mine was in charge of the department and she had it printed in just a few minutes.
“Sign this,”
I placed a pen on the document and folded my hands, watching him pick up the document and the pen.
Hans went through the document, nodding his head at a spot, raising a brow at another spot, and chuckling.
After he was done reading, he glanced at me and pointed the pen towards me.
“Lest I forget,”
I said, leaning forward.
“There are rules I didn't attach there.”
“Okay,”
He nodded his head, signing the document.
“Number one rule, you won't fall in love with me, two, no one must know about the fake marriage, and lastly, I will be the Alpha and you, my Luna.”
He cracked up, dropping the pen on the table.
To me, that wasn't funny, but Hans is the kind of person who laughs over serious things.
“Your Luna?”
He laughed again, passing the document to me.
However, he stopped laughing when he saw the seriousness on my face.
I returned the document in the bag, got up from the chair, and forced a smile.
“I will meet you at the Packhouse tomorrow to officially announce our marriage.”
Hans’ nodded his head, but he signalled to me to stop as I was about to walk away.
He got up from the chair, approached me, and positioned himself in front of me.
“Why don't we do it this way?”
A mischievous grin appeared on his face.
“Ditch Hams on your wedding day, and exchange the vows with me instead.”
Hmmm
That sounds like a good idea.
Hans is really smart.
Why wasn't I the one who came up with the idea?
“I’ll meet you at the wedding hall in two days.”
The day has finally arrived and everyone has been bubbling in delight since daybreak.
If only they knew what was ahead of them, then a lot of them wouldn't have been trooping inside the wedding hall.
All the wolves from the Lunkskye Pack, and the Arkonix Pack have all gathered inside the large hall decorated in white petals, and rose garlands, awaiting the arrival of the bride, me.
As I walked down the aisle, the moon illuminated through the glass ceiling, over my wedding gown. The white diamond embedded all over the gown flickered like a wave of the ocean, radiating from the walls.
It's a full moon and to celebrate the wedding between an Alpha and the daughter of an Alpha, all the wolves from the Packs present have all transformed into their true selves except for the bride, her mate, and the priest.
Like a moon goddess, I walked with my chin up, looking at the Alpha twins who were standing side by side, a replica of each other.
They were dressed in the same cream and black tuxedo, beaming in delight as I walked towards them.
Wolves howled happily as Hans stepped forward and took my hand.
To Hams, he was bringing his bride to him, but only Hans and I knew what would happen next.
He brought me in front of Hams, and just as he extended his hand to hold me, Hans walked past him to everyone’s amazement.
“What is that?”
Hams asked his twin, already getting upset.
“This is no time for jokes, you know,”
He added, stepping towards us.
Hans chuckled softly, he turned around, facing the audience, and wrapped his arms around my shoulder.
“Amelia Brook will be legally married to me, not my brother.”
He pointed at Hams, whose gasps were audible enough for a deaf person to hear.
Whispers broke out in the audience, and one after the other, they transformed into humans, exchanging glances.
The hall was filled with whispers, sighs, and confusion.
“Amelia?”
Hams finally found his voice,
“What on earth are you guys doing now? This is no time for jokes!”
He snapped, his voice as thunderous as a thunderclap.
“We aren't joking here, Hams, go find someone to turn into a puppet.”
His eyes bulged out in shock.
“Wh…what d…do you mean, Amelia?”
He stuttered, wiping off the beads of sweat that had gathered on his forehead.
“I loved you, but you betrayed me.”
I then turned to Hans, placed my hand on his chest, and smiled.
“Can we exchange the vows now? I can't wait to lie on your chest tonight.”
As we exchanged the vows, the hall went quiet, and only our voices were heard.
Even Hams couldn't say a word or react in shock.
And as soon as we were done, he grabbed his twin by the collar.
His eyes were so red like a burning flame, and I could swear I saw smoke emitting from his nose.
If Hams were a dragon, he would have burnt down the hall and all the wolves in it.
“Take your filthy hands off my mate!”
I yanked his hands away from Hans, pouring insults at him.
Why was he so angry when he knew that he didn't love me?
What a fake bastard!
Everyone would think it is I who has betrayed him, they won't know what he did to me. And I don't regret taking my revenge using his twin brother, after all, the twins aren't even on good terms with each other.
As soon as he broke free, Hans lifted me off my feet, winked at his brother mischievously, and walked out of the hall, carrying me like a baby.
