Chapter 3 Dear Wilson, I Like You

Alexander leaned in close, his breath warm against Charlotte's ear. "If you can't handle a bit of gossip, how can you be my wife, Charlotte?"

Charlotte straightened up, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Don't forget, Alexander, you owe me."

The wedding ceremony was a blur to her; the priest had to call her name multiple times to snap her out of her daze.

At the reception, the snide remarks and mocking whispers lingered in her mind. One glass of red wine followed another, and though the celebration was lively, she felt a deep, gnawing loneliness.

Through her haze, Charlotte noticed someone standing nearby. He was handsome, tall, and his white suit made him look like an angel who had wandered into the human world.

Was this her long-admired Prince Charming?

As her vision cleared, she saw the familiar man and reached out, hooking her arm around his neck, her eyes still blurry. "Dear Wilson, is that you?"

Alexander stared at her, confused. Dear Wilson? Was she calling him?

"I need to ask you something. If you agree, just nod. If not, shake your head, okay?"

"What is it?" Alexander allowed her to cling to his neck, their faces just inches apart.

"It's just that, um..." Charlotte's eyes were misty, and she gazed at him with an unintentionally seductive look, challenging Alexander's composure.

"Spit it out, or I'm leaving." Alexander leaned in closer, feeling a bit uneasy.

"I like you. I've liked you for a long time. If you don't have a girlfriend, would you consider me?" Charlotte mustered the courage to ask, her vision still blurry.

"You've liked me for a long time?" Alexander's brow furrowed.

"Yeah, I even took a job in Phoenix City just to see you every day. I don't want to secretly crush on you anymore. Now that you know how I feel, will you accept me?"

Alexander looked at her skeptically, wondering if she was still drunk. "Do you know who I am?"

"Dear Wilson!"

"Say my name," he demanded, feeling an inexplicable anticipation.

Charlotte smiled faintly at him and pressed her red lips to his.

Alexander felt a jolt run through his body, a sensation he had never experienced before, emanating from his lips.

Poor Charlotte had never kissed anyone before and didn't know what to do next. She was anxious, worried he would reject her. But in the next moment, he surprised her.

He kissed her back passionately, savoring the sweet taste of her lips. This wonderful sensation made him somewhat addicted. Charlotte was startled by his sudden response and tried to say something, but he took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.

The faint scent of wine lingered in the air as Alexander kissed her fervently, savoring her sweetness. Charlotte retreated in confusion, but he advanced, guiding her inexperienced responses until they were entangled in a seductive dance.

Her innocence drove him wild; it was a feeling he had never known.

At some point, their clothes had been discarded. The cool air made her shiver, but the warmth of his body soon covered her.

"What's my name?"

"Dear Wilson."

"Say it again."

"Dear Wilson," she repeated, her usual sharp tongue now gentle like a kitten.

Seeing her warm smile and knowing she was completely relaxed, his expression darkened.

"It hurts!" The sudden pain made her body tense, and tears slipped from the corners of her eyes.

Alexander paused, then a smile spread across his handsome face. So, this was her first time.

After the pain subsided, an unfamiliar sensation took over, making her feel like she was soaring through the clouds and diving into the depths of the sea. She clung to his neck, letting him continue his passionate efforts.

The beautifully decorated wedding room was filled with an atmosphere of intimacy and passion.

Charlotte slowly opened her eyes to an unfamiliar room.

Where was she?

She remembered the wedding yesterday. The wedding! Charlotte sat up, feeling a warmth below, and then she was stunned.

Her delicate skin was covered in marks, and her body ached all over. She frowned, and large tears rolled down her cheeks.

Alexander, you despicable jerk!

"What’s wrong?"

Hearing his voice, Charlotte looked up. He was already dressed, his well-fitting black suit accentuating his perfect physique. His tall, lean frame was like that of a model. His chiseled face featured deep-set, handsome features, with piercing eyes, a strong nose, and sensual lips that drew everyone's attention. His serious demeanor exuded an innate nobility and coldness that commanded respect.

If it weren't for what happened yesterday, she would have been captivated by him, just like her colleagues who gossiped about his looks and personality. But now...

She grabbed a pillow and angrily threw it at him. "Alexander, what did you do to me yesterday!"

Alexander caught the pillow and walked toward her, a satisfied smile on his face as he looked at the marks he had left on her body. "We consummated our marriage, as husband and wife do."

"Who’s your wife!" She clutched the blanket tightly around her body, furious.

"We're married, so of course, you're my wife. Are you angry because you weren't satisfied with my efforts last night, or do you want to go again?" He smiled, moving closer and unabashedly scanning her body.

"You, you..." Charlotte was so angry she couldn't speak, and tears started to fall again.
