I laughed. S was such a suck-up. I felt quite sorry for him at times.

But still, it was a pleasant thought. I imagined Sarah “winning” me in bed, perhaps tying me down and letting me pretend to be at her mercy. She was a human and probably couldn’t tie knots for shit.

Yes, I’d break out of the ropes and take her roughly to punish her. She’d cry. I knew she would cry.

Yes, another suck-up. But the martinis did sound like an excellent idea. I went to my wet bar and shook the gin while looking over at a bottle of vermouth, added three olives, put in just a touch of olive brine, and drank it down almost on one go.

“Oh, my,” I said aloud. I’d meant to sip. I’d meant to swirl. I’d meant to be refined.

Maybe instead I wanted to be a sloppy drunk. I laughed aloud and made another. This time, I sipped and went back to my chair.

I picked up my phone but didn’t look at right away. Let it wait for me for a change.

How odd these people were, talking through fake names and revealing so much about themselves. What’s his name had been right to call out GinnyWolf for wanting to boss the others around. She was doubtlessly a gamma.

What would Mother have made of social media, I wondered? Would she have delighted in being able to talk to others without having to apologize for what she was? Or would she have been Loud n’ Proud?

I’d like to think her username would have been I’mAnOmegaFuckYou, though that would probably get her banned from most platforms.

What would see think of me now? Sitting here in my luxury apartment sipping a perfect martini, slightly dirty and so very dry.

Would she like my designer suits? I finished my drink and made another one thinking about it. My diamond-encrusted watch?

I needed a better car, something sleek and shiny, something Zane couldn’t ever be seen in.

My phone beeped, annoyed at being ignored. There was an alert for the next episode of Let’s Talk!, which was going to look at human and werewolf healthcare. Boring, until I saw the first comment.
