Nina POV

"You look stunning, Luna," I smiled at the young omega before me, appreciating her kind words.

Indeed, I look stunning. The wedding gown looks so perfect on me.

"Gosh, I am sure Jasper will be shocked to see me," I giggled, tracing my hand along the wedding gown's delicate fabric. But as his face flashed in my mind, the smile on my lips was instantly wiped off, leaving only confusion.

Since yesterday, Jasper has been nowhere to be seen.

Beta Owen had told me that he was busy yesterday and didn't want any disturbance but then again, why am I having this restless feeling that something is not right? Dragging in a deep breath, I turned to the few omegas that had been assisting me to get ready for the big day.

"Uhmm, I'll be right back," they nodded and I rushed out, not minding that I was already in my wedding gown.

The decorated room for our wedding night was the first place I hurried to. "Jasper," holding the doorknob, I peered inside the room but couldn't find anyone.

It was empty.

My heart started racing very fast, and fear twisted my stomach.

I walked out of the room, glancing around cautiously and that's when my eyes fell on Beta Owen who was walking down the foyer.

Thank goodness!

I fastened my pace to catch up with him. "Luna Nina!" He gasped immediately, jolting up a bit as I walked up to him. His gaze trailed down to the wedding gown before they stared back at me.

"Luna..."

"Beta Owen, please have you seen Jasper?" I cut in quickly, going straight to the point.

He sighed and replied curtly, "Alpha is busy right now, I will still advise you to wait for him in your room,"

Shocked, I unbelievably snapped my head at him, "Busy since yesterday? Today is our wedding, Owen," the word had barely left my lips when suddenly, a sharp pain struck me below my abdomen, causing me to stagger back in full force.

Fresh tears instantly pooled in my eyes.

"Luna Nina!" Beta Owen was immediately by my side. Grabbing a handful of my dress, I held the wall for support to avoid collapsing to the ground. And just then, my personal servant, Layla, walked inside the hallway.

Upon seeing the scene, Layla exclaimed and rushed to my side. "Luna Nina! What happened?" Her gaze widened but I had no time for pleasantries. My stomach hurts so bad, what is going on?

"Please, Layla, have you seen Jasper?"

"Yes," she nodded her head but Beta Owen instantly elbowed her and that grew my suspicion that they were hiding something.

"Layla!" I commanded, using my Luna tone.

She flinched immediately, nervously pointing her hand to the exit, "He's in the other building, on the third floor." I didn't wait for her to finish, and I hurried, dragging myself forward along with the sharp pain.

However, I reached the third floor, and all at once I heard a loud groan and then followed by a moan on the room at my right side. Stepping forward, I managed to open the door and was immediately slammed on the face by the smell of musky and woodsmoke.

"Mate!" My wolf Leah perked up instantly and my gaze widened in confusion.

"Jasper," I whispered inwardly and quickly flipped the switch on but the sight in front of me made my legs turn to jelly and my heart sputtered as my gaze fell on Jasper, my mate, grinding Brielle as if his life depended on it.

Shocked, my grip around the door handle loosened.

"Jasper...!" I screamed, falling to the floor in total shock. Now, this explains the pain I have been feeling earlier.

He splits out immediately, his gaze and that of Brielle wide but that was for a moment because a sudden triumph smirk appeared on Brielle's face.

"What are you doing here?" Jasper asked, his voice cold and furious. "Didn't Owen tell you that I was busy?"

Whimpering, I shook my head and screamed in disbelief. Tears rolled freely down my face, the stain, ruining my makeup as I clutched the hem of my dress. Brielle was supposed to be my maid of honor, she was my best friend!

"Today was supposed to be our day! Our wedding day but here you are, sleeping with my best friend, Jasper!!" I yelled tearfully, swallowing down the burn of acid in my throat.

"Take you this long to find out, how ridiculous?" Brielle says, sitting upright, and clutching the bedsheet to hide her naked body. But I can see the glimmer of pleasure in her eyes, the way she is happy seeing me in pain.

"How long?" I can feel Leah struggling to be let out, so as to bounce on that shitty friend in front of us.

"We are even planning on telling you today and besides, Brielle here is pregnant with my first heir."

"W….what?!" I stared at them in stunned silence, the pain in my stomach long forgotten.

What? She is pregnant. Oh my goodness, how long has this been going on? And from the look Beta Owen and Layla gave me in the hallway earlier, I am sure that they know.

Is even possible that everyone knows but I was kept in the dark like always. So this explains the pitiful look I have been getting from the pack recently.

I was the heir and Alpha to the Crescent Moon pack but after finding out that Alpha Jasper was my mate. The two packs, the Crescent Moon Pack and the Shadow Moon Pack were merged as one since my parents were already late.

I have built this pack with him from scratch to this level for years. We have gone far, this thing can't be happening now.

"You can't do this to me, Jasper, please," I wiped my tears, crawling forward. "Tell me that this is a prank,"

"Nina, you should understand that Brielle has always been my first love even before you came into the picture. Even before you came into this pack!"

"But I am your mate!" I breathed in a gravelly voice, choking on emotions. "I was the one chosen for you by the Moon Goddess, please don't do this, Jasper..."

"ENOUGH!" Jasper fumed, silencing me instantly. I drag in a shaky breath, feeling a painful lump in my throat. "Are you deaf or dumb? Can't you hear that she is carrying my pup, something you couldn't boast of since five years of us being together!"

His words hit me like a punch in the face, and realization flashed through my mind. If we have been together for five years that means they both have been seeing each other secretly for the past years. All this while, she has been screwing my mate behind me and still appears all nice in front of me.

So all those restless nights and pains were because of their atrocities but how come I didn't notice?

I gawked at him, "Jasper, you are breaking me," I said with quivering lips. "So all these years, you two have been seeing each other behind me?"
