Chapter 5 Five

Vincent's POV.

"Marshall, I need her car coordinates. I've been trying to track her for a while but it's not going through. Don't tell me what I've been trying to avoid is finally happening." I barked through the phone.

He was the reason for all of this nonsense in the first place and that was why she left abruptly.

I had decided not to go after her immediately because I didn't want to put her at a spot where she was going to resent me or try to think that I was taking advantage of whatever situation we had going on together because it I knew how hard she wanted her freedom and I was willing to give it to her.

"Sir, the last time I saw her she was on Edwards but I cannot categorically state where she is right now."

Those were all the warning bills that I needed to get my ass out of my office and head towards her direction.

In my line of business I knew that anything could happen at any time so I had to be very prepared and make sure that there was no way or form any mistakes we're going to arise especially when I had someone like her in my possession.

I was sure that I was not the only person who was hoping that they would be able to get her to come to them, especially with Mortis being involved.

I picked up my phone and called Edmond. He had to be in the know of what was going on with his sister so that he wasn't blindsided.

There was a reason I was taking this risk and it was not because I was stupid or I didn't think that it was time for me to finally see how I was going to make this work when I found out that there was a mistake here and there.

"Sir, I think her car is veering towards Alameda."

Shit! Freaking bastards.

Astra of all people should have known that that was a jungle! Nobody went in there and came out alive; it was just a given.

I didn't care who exactly was involved but I knew that somebody was trying to take her away. My gut instinct had never failed me and I didn't think they were going to start now so I needed to double up.

"Send back up." I hissed.

There was nothing good about whatever was going on because this was a rival family and people must have seen her leaving my office in anger.

Twenty minutes later, I was speeding towards Alameda, praying to whatever Force was up there that I had the privilege of catching these people just before they were able to harm a hair on her head or else I was going to be destroyed forever.

Edmond was blowing up my phone but I refused to pick up because I knew how hard this was going to get on him. He didn't have the heart to stomach all the stress that came with intervals so I didn't want to stress him out or make him feel like there was something else that needed to be done besides what already was.

"I don't care about anything else. Just make sure that my sister returns in one piece." He texted.

It was a code word for his desperation. He was already facing issues as it stood and he couldn't afford to get any more losses. I wasn't going to allow that to happen so he was safe with me.

"Good grief brother." I returned the favor and he stopped blowing up my phone.

As soon as I passed Alameda I knew that this was an organized group trying to snatch her away from everyone.

It was easy from the way they refuse to cover up their tracks to the way they imagine that it would be able to get away with it without anybody clocking in on the fact that there was even a whole lot of trash going on behind closed doors and then try to fight it

I pulled my car to a stop, touching my pockets to feel the weight of the M13.

"I knew that you were going to come early. I just didn't know how fast it was going to take you to finally realize that she had been kidnapped." A message popped up on my phone.

They couldn't have left the area. They were stupid enough to think that I was going to go back or not know how these things have been working since the past decades.

It either had to be the mortis or the Vincenzos. No one had the manpower to plan such a strategy effectively.

It was also evident in the way they spoke with so much conviction that made me almost barf.

The messages were never going to stop men from doing whatever I wanted to do but it was only going to serve as a means of strategy to make sure that these stupid guys the hell out of my face!

Exactly what I was hoping for to get when they swerved in the corner and I took a deep breath.

Nothing was going to be different from what we already had going on.

I alighted and headed towards the car in front of me. If they thought that they were going to ever get me into hiding then they had to come up with another strategy or else I was going to blast them off forever.

It was going to take a lot to get me out of the way and they were absolutely no match for what I had planned for them so this was a waste of time and energy and I was willing to see how long we were going to spend it.

It was only a matter of time before I figured that I was one of the people who had always wanted to get them out of the way forever.

"Let her go or else face my wrath." I smiled.
