"Mano, você já fez suas investigações sobre a identidade dela e tudo mais?" Ele acrescentou, curioso.

"Desculpa não ter te contado antes. A parte interessante é que ela é filha do melhor amigo do papai, o Sr. West, dono do Grupo de Empresas West Corp." Eu anunciei.

"Caramba!!! É o destino, cara, realmente quer que vocês fiquem juntos ou algo assim, não acha?" Ele exclamou.

"Eu sinto isso, Aaron, fiquei tão chocado e feliz quando meu investigador particular me deu os detalhes." Eu declarei.

"Você é realmente sortudo, Brian." Ele comentou.

"Eu acho que sim. Quero pedir um favor a você, mano." Eu declarei.

"Me diga, se é algo que você quer que eu faça, então não é grande coisa para mim e você não precisa me pedir nada porque eu com certeza farei por você."

"Eu confio em você nisso, Aaron. Quero que você assuma a empresa por um tempo para que meu plano funcione perfeitamente." Eu expliquei sorrindo.

"É só isso, Brian? Então considere feito." Ele garantiu.

"Eu sabia que podia contar com você. Obriga---" Eu estava dizendo quando ele me interrompeu.

"Não menciona, mano."

"Beleza, cara." Eu disse e nós dois rimos, mas então uma batida na porta nos interrompeu.

"Entre." Eu dei acesso a quem estava na porta.

"Bom dia, senhores." Minha secretária, Kara, cumprimentou.

"Bom dia, linda. Como foi sua noite?" Aaron respondeu instantaneamente sorrindo.

"O que há de errado com ele?" Pensei, olhando para ele com suspeita.

"Boa, senhor." Ela respondeu timidamente e ele piscou para ela.

Agora entendi, Aaron e Kara estão juntos. Uau! Eu deveria ter sabido que ela era a pessoa de quem ele sempre falava, dizendo que ela era uma boa namorada.

Eles ficaram se olhando como se fossem devorar um ao outro a qualquer momento.

"Errhhmm..." Eu murmurei, chamando a atenção deles de volta.

"Ah! Desculpe, senhor, aqui estão os arquivos que você precisa assinar." Ela disse com os arquivos ainda nas mãos.

"Ok, você pode deixá-los e ir, eu vou dar uma olhada neles mais tarde." Eu ordenei e ela os deixou na minha mesa, saindo não sem antes dar um sorriso para Aaron.

"Uhmm... mano, eu preciso fazer uma coisa agora." Ele disse e se levantou rapidamente.

"Tão rápido e por que agora?" Eu franzi a testa e cruzei os braços, esperando que ele revelasse o segredo. Ele sabe que sempre que eu cruzo os braços, significa que eu sei o pequeno segredo dele.

"Tá bom, amigo, ela é minha namorada." Ele disse e saiu correndo, não querendo que eu fizesse perguntas.

"Que cara engraçado eu tenho como irmão mais novo." Eu disse e ri.

Eu sou Brian. Nome verdadeiro: Brian Lincoln Alex. Um empresário bem-sucedido que tem tudo, mas falta uma coisa, 'Amor verdadeiro', que é meu desejo, mas as mulheres que conheci estavam apenas atrás da minha riqueza e isso me fez perder a esperança de procurar por alguém novamente.

"E aí, mano, você viu as notícias? O mundo está enlouquecendo por sua causa." Ele riu e se sentou ao meu lado.

"Oi, amigo!" Eu respondi e me sentei, recostando-me no travesseiro mais próximo do anel da cama.

"Anime-se, cara, seu plano vai dar certo, ok?" Ele disse, levantando meu ânimo.

"Claro, cara! Quero manter a mídia ocupada, então..." Eu disse, sem terminar a frase porque ele sabe o que estou tentando dizer.

"Sim, papai vai anunciar para a mídia que você perdeu a visão agora." Ele afirmou.

"Ok." Eu respondi e liguei a TV novamente para ver as notícias sendo exibidas ao vivo.

"É com grande tristeza que informo a todos que meu filho, Brian Lincoln, perdeu a visão." Papai disse ao vivo nas notícias, e todos gritaram.

"Meu Deus!!! Isso é tão chocante e doloroso para a cidade de Nova York. Só rezamos e esperamos que o homem do campo, Sr. Brian Lincoln, recupere a visão." Um repórter disse, fazendo-me desligar a TV, não querendo ver ou ouvir mais conversas.

"Preciso fazer isso por mim mesmo." Murmurei silenciosamente.

"Querido, você está pronto para ir para casa?" Mamãe perguntou ao entrar no quarto junto com papai logo atrás dela.

"Sim, mãe, obrigado, pai!" Eu respondi.

"Não precisa agradecer, já arranjei tudo. Amanhã sua mãe e eu vamos executar nossa parte do plano e, com sorte, meu amigo vai concordar." Ele explicou.

"Ele vai aceitar, querido, sempre seja positivo." Mamãe afirmou firmemente.

"Você está pronto?" Aaron perguntou, interrompendo.

"Sim," eu respondi.

"Então vamos para casa." Ele disse e me deu uma mãozinha enquanto papai e mamãe nos seguiam.

Saímos pela porta dos fundos que leva para fora do hospital para evitar que a mídia fizesse perguntas sobre minha saúde, mas subestimamos eles, que começaram a correr em nossa direção. Felizmente, meus seguranças foram rápidos em nos cercar antes que pudessem se aproximar de nós, enquanto entrávamos em carros diferentes.

Aaron e eu entramos na limusine, enquanto meus pais entraram no carro ao lado, antes que o motorista partisse diretamente para a mansão dos meus pais.

"Vamos ver como o plano de amanhã vai acabar." Pensei, recostando a cabeça no assento do carro, e seguimos para a mansão em total silêncio.
