Chapter 100

Sienna’s POV

I was absolutely right about the yacht being for us, because there we were, standing on the upper deck, sailing out into the darkness of the ocean.

What I hadn’t anticipated was that it wasn’t the honeymoon itself — it was just the ride there. One hell of a ride, at that.

It soared through the water, and it wasn’t long until I saw something out in the distance, some kind of island, the twinkle of lights catching my eye.

“Look at all that curiosity on your face,” Alaric chuckled, kissing my temple. “You are going to absolutely love this; it’s for the entire weekend, too.”

I almost moaned in relief, figuring I should probably save those for a couple hours from now instead. The heat in my core had been building for the last few hours with the desperation to get Alaric alone.

The island grew closer and closer, and I could finally make out all the string lights that ran from the docks up to a beautiful two-story house, glass lining the entire lower floor.

“Alaric,” I gasped, leaning against the railing to get a better look.

“All for us. A completely private island for the next forty-eight hours.” He grinned, and a giddy laugh escaped me.

Everything had just been go go go for the last few months, nonstop. I’d so rarely had a second to breathe, to live in the moment.

The yacht docked a few minutes later, and I squealed as Alaric lifted me up in his arms, cradling me against his chest. The traditional treatment for the bride, and it was all mine.

“I am going to absolutely ravage you,” Alaric whispered in my ear, the muscles in my core tightening.

“Please do,” I groaned, kissing up his jawline. So defined.

In what felt like barely a few seconds later, we were on the bed in the back of the house, a stunning patio with a jacuzzi visible out back.

That could all wait.

Alaric ripped off my reception dress, discarding it hastily on the floor, leaving me absolutely bared to him. His tux soon followed, and I couldn’t stop the moan that broke out of me when I saw his length so stiff and ready for me.

My legs spread open for him as he settled between them, and he shoved inside me without hesitation, filling me as deep as he could in the blink of an eye.

I cried out, his thrusting pressing me back into the headboard, the bed groaning under our weight. The pleasure that utterly consumed me was better than I’d ever felt, because this was real, this was love.

Love with no boundaries, no secrets, no lies.

“My wife,” he growled into my ear, goosebumps erupting across my body. He was so deep inside me I could hardly find my breath, my legs wrapped around him, feeling each tensing of his muscles as he thrust.

My climax arrived hard and fast, stars shooting across my vision, Alaric’s lips smashed on mine as I moaned his name again and again. Bliss shattered through me, rolling out from my core in waves, my hips convulsing against his.

Alaric’s followed, and his guttural growl made my walls clench around him, pumping into me until he fell limp, his hair sticking to his temples.

“You are beautiful,” he gasped, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck, breathing in our post-sex scent. “And we’re going to have the perfect life.”

“We worked hard to get here,” I murmured against his forehead, kissing the damp strands of his hair matted to his face. “And we deserve it.”

Alaric slipped out of me, both of us panting in the aftermath. He wrapped me in his arms, pulling me hard against his chest, his face resting against my shoulder.

“We do,” he smiled, his voice tired, our bodies aching. There was so much more of this to come, and we both knew it.

Silence fell over us both, our bodies pressed together without an inch of space between us.

I didn’t move an inch until the sun peeked in through the patio doors, rising over the horizon. Carefully, I slipped out of Alaric’s grasp, grabbing a black silk bathrobe that hung near the bathroom.

The warm morning air greeted me, the sky streaked in a gorgeous shade of orange. I walked to the edge of the porch, which overlooked a beautiful garden, the ocean visible in the distance, glittering in the morning light.

A soft sigh found its way out of me, my eyes drifting closed at the gentle breeze that caressed my face.

Things had finally turned around. All the stress, the tears, the pain…it was fading. I’d endured so much of it in such a short time, and now, I was finally finding my relief.

The baby nudged, and I glanced down at my stomach, the smallest bump now visible. I had this feeling it was going to be a girl — something in my heart told me that. Alaric and I would most definitely have a baby girl.

My wolf was back. She’d been quiet since her return, gaining back all the strength that had been sapped from her, but she was here. All she’d needed was her fated bond to wake her back up, a distress call from the love of my life.

On top of that, the Elder’s had granted me permanent status as an Alpha. After everything went down with Mia, she apologized, stating she might have judged me wrong. That wasn’t the only thing that convinced them — thankfully my own performance, as well as Alaric’s influence, helped them make that decision.

Nightwind was mine, and Nightfall would merge together, now that Julian was gone. Dead, rather. We’d keep our pack names separate still, but everyone would be welcome.

Not only was I going to be an Alpha, but a queen too. Life was taking off full force, and now I’d have my forever partner in crime to do it all with.

Big things were on the horizon. Things I’d never imagined I’d get, not after all the tragedy I’d suffered.

But what I was learning was that all you had to do was keep fighting. And if you fought, and you wanted it enough, you would find your way. Your dreams would come true.

My biggest dream was lying in bed only a few feet away, and suddenly, I wanted him more than ever. I grinned, turning on my heel, and went back inside, slipping my bathrobe off and sliding under the covers next to him.

Settling back into his arms, I knew I was home. Truthfully, I’d known from that very first day, because my heart had recognized him as my mate. All the signs had pointed to him, and I’d so vehemently denied it for months.

Now, it was time to admit it. Alaric was my soulmate, the rest of my life. My air, my whole reason for smiling.

His arms tightened around me, recognizing even in his sleep that I’d come back, two souls that could never be separated for long. As my eyes drifted closed again, our breathing falling into sync, I knew everything would be okay.

Forever starts today, after all.
