Chapter 5 Shocking Revelation From My Husband
Chapter 5
Elena pov
“You can’t do this to me.” I yelped, pushing myself up from the floor, and lunging for the door to stop them from locking me in.
What did they do?
They pushed me back. Causing me to fall. Williams, my husband stood there, watching as his mistress’s puppets mistreated me.
“Now that the bitch is locked up. We can go back to our wedding celebration.” My mother-in-law said, flaunting the key in my presence.
The room was small and had a corrugated gate, possibly a storage room. I have no idea why they locked me in there.
“You have no right to treat me this way,” I grunted, breathing heavily.
“Of course we do. What did you expect when you came here to ruin my son’s day?” she asked in a deep voice, a violent gleam in her eyes.
“Your son? But he's my husband. And we are married under the law.” I swallowed. “He can't marry someone else. I’m going to sue him for bigamy.”
“Go on, sue all you want. It won't change a thing. You're an old cargo and my son no longer loves you. Besides, Melissa comes from a well-connected family.”
I gave a dry chuckle. “So that is it? You allowed your son to marry Melissa because of a connection just like you've let him marry me because of my properties!” I said, with a furious heart rhythm.
“What properties? Stop dreaming. They all belonged to my some now, " she said, looking around and frowning. “Why am I even wasting my breath on you?”
My mother-in-law swirled around and walked away with the rest of the family walking away except Williams and Kai.
William's gaze honed in on me for some time before he turned, and I just lost my cool yelling in the air at him.
“So you'll just let them lock your wife up? Say nothing?” Tears slipped down my face.
He turned and answered me in a voice devoid of emotion. “You shouldn't have come here. I’m sorry but I have to go meet Melissa.”
“So you're gonna meet your new wife? While I stay locked up here for five days with no food?”
He growled. “Bitch why did you even come here? Who told you about this wedding?”
“I did.” a deep familiar voice sounded. When my gaze flickered towards the direction of this voice, for a moment, my heart froze.
“You did what?” Williams yelled at Kai, his stepbrother. “When did my family matters become part of your headache, huh?” William snickered.
He pounded towards Kai in a predatory manner. He stopped just inches from
Kai who was a bit taller than him.
“Jealous of me?” Williams posed, pushing his chest forward to almost budge into Kai.
Kai sneered. “Jealous of what?”
“That I have two women by my side including your lover girl. You're just pissed off that your lover decided to follow me, the favorite son of the family.”
Kai chuckled. “You mean whore. Nah!” he shook his head. “I’m not jealous that you got married to my whore. You can have her but you're not leaving here unless you give me the key to that door.” he pointed at the corrugated gate where I stood.
Williams chuckled and shook his head. He tried to walk away but Kai stepped in his way, a dark aura emitting from him. The kind that sent chills running through the air.
Williams stepped back, raising his hands in the air. “Hey, black sheep. Stay the hell out of my family business!”
Kai was quiet, but he stretched forth his palm, glaring at Williams.
After what felt like years.
Williams finally said. “Fine! I don't have the key with me.”
“Give me the spare with you nicely or I'll take it from you. Believe me, you wouldn't dare me to ruin your wedding today.” Kai said, his voice low and dangerous.
Williams turned around to give me a killer look before he shoved his hands into his pocket to bring out a key. He tossed it towards me in rage and wanted to walk away when Kai stepped in his way.
“What now?” he raised an eyebrow, frustration lacing his voice. “I can't breathe anymore even when I've dropped the key?” He laughed, a short one.
“You’ll pick that up and open the door,” Kai said.
“You don't expect me to bend and pick that up, right? Why should I open the door for her when it was my mum and my wife who had her locked up?”
“You'll do that!” Kai sneered. “Or you'll regret it.”
Goddamnit. I felt the chilling cold when Kai said. ‘Or you'll regret it!” he looked so domineering and confident.
Without arguing much. Williams staggered backward with his resigned hands in the air. He bent to pick the key up then open.
“I wish I had never met you, Elena.” he spat as the gate clicked. “And God help you if I find out that you're having a thing with my brother.” Williams was furious.
“Says the cheating husband.” I retorted, displaying a stern look.
Williams gritted his teeth. “It’s not cheating. I’ loved her long before you came along, even when we were married. She was the one.”
So all this while my instincts were right? Williams was cheating on me and whenever I asked, he pretended and swore that I was being delusional.
I stomped past him. “I saw the divorce letter. I’ll only sign it when you return my land documents.”
“Your land documents are at home.” he snapped.
“The fake ones?” I turned and he darted his gaze away. “You better not play games with me, Williams. My diamond necklace, and land documents I need them now before I leave here.”
Williams didn't utter a word, rather he smirked and jerked the hem of his shirt furiously in the air before he stormed off.
Now it was just me and Kai and these creepy feelings were overwhelming me at the moment.
My cheeks flushed red and I'm willing to sink to the floor just to hide from Kai’s gaze.
I tried to walk past him, but my conscience wouldn't let me walk off without appreciating him.
“Thank you,” I muttered. “You saved me. I owed it to you.”
“I’m not your savior and you owed me nothing except you're willing to choke on my cock and stop being the clingy dumb wife.” he sneered and walked off.
I ran after him, calling out his name. His steps faltered, as he turned around a scowl marred his face.
“What?” his voice was cold. He looked different compared to the person I had just seen a few moments ago.
“I-i .” I pursed my lips. “Can you give me a ride home? My hands seemed to be sprained.” I said.
“Call an Uber.” he snapped in an icy tone.
“I don't have my phone with me,” I said in a slur, studying his face.
“Look, Elena. You kept breaking through my barriers,” he said in an irritated tone.
“How?” I stuttered.
“I told you not to call me unless you're offering me your body or giving me a perfect business idea. You thought I was bluffing?”
“Yes,” I answered swiftly. “I thought you were only saying that to push me away from you. Cause I’m your brother’s wife. The brother you detest so much.”
He shook his head and walked off while I hailed after him.
He stopped and turned around to give me a killer look. The kind that said, ‘stop following me. But was I really going to stop following him?”
