Un lujoso auto azabache se estacionó frente a un imperioso edificio. Un hombre con atuendo de chofer fue el primero en bajarse y luego una linda muchacha con ropa de secretaria.
Ambos se colocaron al costado de la puerta trasera del vehículo. El chofer fue el encargado de abrir la puerta de manera sutil, como si estuviera por recibir a una reina de la edad media. Entonces, de manera espléndida, una esbelta pierna fue lo primero en mostrarse, cuyo tacón negro de aguja, se afirmó de modo firme en el asfalto. Así, como una poderosa soberana, que descendía de su carruaje real. Así, una espléndida mujer se manifestó con lentitud.
Ella abandonó el coche con glamour y distinción. Tenía puesto en su cabeza un sombrero Hepbrum oscuro con un velo que tapaba la parte superior de su rostro, sol dejando ver la parte de su boca y fina barbilla. En su negra pupila se reflejó la maravillosa arquitectura empresarial que le pertenecía a ella.
Hariella Hansen era conocida como La magnate. Era arrogante, altiva y soberbia. Había nacido en una cuna de diamantes, proveniente de una familia privilegiada y adinerada. Vestía como la noche, arropada por un aura de espectro sombrío y magnánimo. El tono negro era su gran favorito, llegando a lucir atuendos casi siempre de este mismo color. Su otro predilecto era el morado. Aunque rara vez lo usaba. El símbolo de su industria era el eslogan de un templo, con las iniciales IH. Pero el símbolo de sus productos alimenticios era su favorito; era el de Leona, acompañada por una inédita figura del animal, diseñada y patentada por ella. Los dos emblemas hacían honor a su nombre. Agarró la punta delantera de su sombrero.
Sus labios permanecieron sellados y su expresión, era inflexible y fría, como un témpano de hielo. Empezó a caminar con clase, entrecruzando las piernas, como si fuera una modelo. En su brazo izquierdo resaltaban su bolso de marca de edición limitada y su reloj suizo, de plata. Al avanzar, los guardias de seguridad le rindieron reverencia. Entonces, cuando se abrieron las puertas automáticas, al entrar a la recepción, se detuvo, pues la esperaba, un pasillo humano de sus empleados y demás escoltas. Ellos encorvaron sus cuerpos para otorgarle respeto a su suprema monarca, la reina de negro, porque siempre vestía como las tinieblas.
Un suave aroma a flores frescas llenaba el aire. Era un espectáculo de lujo y elegancia. Grandes arreglos florales decoraban el espacio, emanando un olor perfumado y fresco que se mezclaba con el aire acondicionado. Las paredes estaban adornadas con obras de arte contemporáneo, y los suelos de mármol pulido reflejaban las luces suaves que iluminaban la estancia. El mostrador era una pieza de diseño moderno, hecho de cristal y acero, donde las recepcionistas, vestidas con trajes impecables, saludaban a los visitantes con sonrisas profesionales. Alrededor, cómodos sofás de cuero y mesas de café con revistas de alta gama creaban un ambiente acogedor para los invitados, clientes e inversionistas.
—Bienvenida, nuestra gran señora —dijeron todos, hombres y mujeres al unísono, como si de tiempos monárquicos se tratara—. Es un gusto tenerle aquí.
Hariella no hizo ningún gesto. Detrás la seguía Lena Whitney, su leal secretaria. Empezó a caminar con refinada elegancia hacia el ascensor, mientras sus tacones de aguja resonaban de manera señorial con el piso de mármol, pulido, limpio y brillante.
Al estar solas en el ascensor presidencial, Hariella se quitó el sombrero y se lo dio a su secretaria para que lo sostuviera. Así, su divino rostro, oculto por el velo, quedó al descubierto. La forma de su cara asimétrica y angelical era deslumbrante. Tenía treinta y dos años, pero parecía de veinticinco. Su dieta, sus ejercicios, sus cremas, eran como un tratamiento para la juventud eterna. Si eras rico y tenías salud, no solo podía alargar tu vida, también evitabas envejecer. Su piel era blanca, inmaculada, como una muñeca de porcelana. Sus ojos azules claros eran hechizantes, mezclados con su nariz griega, sus cejas y pestañas le daban un encanto etéreo. Su caballo era rubio, como si fueran hilos de oro. Ella era tan preciosa, inteligente, pero tenía un mal carácter que la hacía ser temida y respetada por todos. Su aura era fría, por su personalidad, lúgubre por su ropa y dorada su cabello; era una particular y poco común combinación que una mujer podía llegar a transmitir. Sus facciones faciales eran bellas, pero su semblante era amargado, intimidante y apático de todo.
El interior del elevador presidencial de Industrias Hansen era un testimonio de lujo y modernidad. Las paredes estaban revestidas de paneles de madera oscura y brillante, contrastando con el acero inoxidable pulido. Una pantalla digital integrada mostraba información actualizada sobre las operaciones de la empresa, así como las noticias financieras más recientes. Los botones del ascensor eran táctiles, iluminados con un suave resplandor azul, y en una esquina, un pequeño arreglo de flores frescas añadía un toque de color y frescura al ambiente.
Hariella y Lena esperaban en silencio, mientras las puertas del ascensor comenzaban a cerrarse. Pero justo cuando estaban a punto de sellarse, una mano firme se interpuso entre ambas, impidiéndolo. Se abrieron de nuevo, revelando a un hombre desconocido.
Aquel extraño vestía un traje de sastre impecable, de un tono gris oscuro, y llevaba puestas unas gafas de diseño moderno que reflejaban las luces del ascensor. Su presencia era inesperada e intrusiva. Lucía como un nerd y zonzo.
Hariella frunció el ceño y lo vio con desdén, sorprendida e irritada por la interrupción. Dobló los ojos, sin prestarle atención y sin repararlo mucho. Nadie se había ganado tan rápido su odio y maldiciones, como ese extraño e ignorante que ahora entraba en su elevador personal. Inhaló y exhaló para controlar su ira. Su majestuosa llegada había ido dañada por ese incompetente sujeto.
El hombre, imperturbable por la situación, dio un paso adelante después decir unas palabras. Su porte era encorvado, desgravado y un criminal de la moda. Aunque había algo en su mirada que sugería una determinación inquebrantable.
Hariella se quedó en su posición sin rodarse, ni un milímetro. Su secretaria Lena le indicó que iba a echarlo de allí. Pero solo bastó que alzara su dedo índice para dejarla callada y estática, rodándose, para dejar al hombre en medio de la dos. Su expresión severa, reflejando su descontento. Pero, tenía interés por saber un poco más del valiente que se había atrevido a incomodarla. Él era un fastidio y lo terminaría borrando de la existencia, por su desatenta imprudencia.
