Vivianne y Pablo:
A sus dieciocho años, Vivianne era una mezcla de emociones y mucho talento para el arte. Sus manos parecían más fuertes de lo que su frágil figura sugería, con ellas, moldeaba el barro con una ferocidad que rara vez se veía en la Facultad de Artes.
Estaba obsesionada con la forma, la textura y la esencia única que una pieza podía sostener.
Su mundo era diferente al de muchas otras estudiantes, amaba los estudios y talleres polvorientos, fríos e inhóspitos de la universidad, en conjunto con el aroma a trementina, polvo de yeso y, el ruido metálico de las espátulas.
Fue en su clase de Escultura Avanzada donde conoció a Pablo Mistral.
Pablo era la antítesis de la arcilla, un hombre totalmente pulcro, de cabellos semi plateados que brillaban bajo la luz amarillenta del taller, con una reputación académica tan imponente como su estatura, a pesar de su corta edad.
A sus veinticinco años, no solo era el profesor más joven, también era el titular más respetado de toda la facultad, solo que su mirada era lenta y evaluadora, capaz de desarmar una obra antes de que estuviera terminada, lo que lo hacía imponente en donde se situara.
Una tarde de noviembre, mientras Vivianne trabajaba en una pieza abstracta sobre el vacío, Pablo se detuvo detrás de ella.
El silencio se hizo denso.
Sus compañeros de clase, se retiraron del aula sin decir palabra alguna, dejando solo el chirrido de la navaja de Vivianne contra el yeso, concentrada.
― ¡Es brillante, señorita Aldana! ―susurró Pablo, encalideciendo su cuello con su aliento.
Vivianne se estremeció por unos segundos.
El cumplido dicho con esa cercanía, no lo sintió como un reconocimiento, sino como una posesión, lo que, de alguna manera y sin malas intenciones, la alertó.
Vivianne se enderezó, sintiendo el rubor juvenil posarse en sus mejillas.
―Gracias, profesor, la verdad estoy tratando de capturar la ausencia o el espacio que dejó una forma al ser arrancada. ―respondió la muchacha con inocencia y emoción en lo que estaba logrando.
Pablo esbozó una sonrisa un tanto fuera de lo común. Puso su mano sobre el hombro de Vivianne, deslizando el pulgar hacia su clavícula, mostrando un contacto fugaz pero deliberado.
Ella se quedó inmóvil.
―No es lo que te falta lo que me interesa, Vivianne. Es lo que tienes. ¿Cómo decirte? Posees una intensidad... Un fuego, no que quema, pero sí que arde. Lo veo en el barro, pero necesito verlo en… tu vida.
―No entiendo, profesor, ¿puede explicarse? ―exclama la alumna, interesada en lo que Pablo le está diciendo.
―A ver, Vivianne, ¿Cómo esperas crear arte que mueva al mundo si vives con tanta... limitación? ―preguntó el hombre.
Ella le retiró la mano, y volteó hacia él.
La muchacha sentía el peso de la presión y a su vez, una frontera difusa entre el maestro y el hombre, más no entendía a qué se refería exactamente el docente.
― ¿Limitación, profesor? ―preguntó Vivianne y extrañada al no ver a sus compañeros en el aula, preguntó ― ¿Dónde están los demás?
El profesor, obvió la última pregunta de la alumna, concentrándose en lo que a él le interesaba.
―Sí. Te has estado limitando y, tu talento es demasiado grande para ser reprimido por las reglas de las hojas de vida y de los que dicen que algo está bien, aunque no lo está.
―Profe, sigo sin entenderlo. Disculpe si estoy distraída en lo que usted me dice, pero… por cierto, ¿Dónde están todos? ¿Por qué se han ido antes?
― ¿Antes? Ya ha sido la hora de salida, solo que tú has estado muy concentrada en tus limitaciones, pero no te preocupes, eso tiene solución.
― ¿Solución?
― ¡Claro, Vivianne! ―le dice el hombre, acercándose un poco más a ella y a su obra de arte, ―Ven a mi estudio privado mañana a las seis y treinta, me parece que podríamos revisar esto con mayor profundidad.
―Pero, aquí están todos mis compañeros, si tenemos una duda, debemos aclararla en el aula, para todos, ¿no cree que es mejor?
―No, no, no, pequeña artista… El verdadero arte no se enseña en una sala llena de estudiantes.
―Entiendo, profesor. Creo que tiene usted toda la razón. ―Vivianne asintió, mientras lo hacía, su corazón latía como un tambor a orillas del mar, convencida de que esa era la puerta secreta a la grandeza y, que su profesor, le estaba dando la llave para acceder a ella.

El estudio de Pablo era lo opuesto al de la facultad, se caracterizaba por su luz tenue, coñac en la mesa, música clásica o blues, depende la ocasión, pero, no había rastro de arcilla, excepto lienzos cubiertos con telas blancas y una biblioteca llena de libros raros.
A lo largo de las siguientes semanas, las reuniones entre el profesor y la alumna, se hicieron regulares. Él desmantelaba sus barreras intelectuales, haciéndola sentir única, adulta, a veces, como a muchos artistas, incomprendida por el resto del mundo.
El arte era el pretexto perfecto para lograr su cometido; mientras que la presa, era la vulnerabilidad de Vivianne.
―Dime, Vivianne, ―dijo una noche, mientras ella le explicaba la influencia de Brancusi, ― ¿Qué quieres realmente de tu vida?
― ¿Cómo artista? ¡Quiero dejar mi marca! ¡Me encantaría que mi arte fuera eterno! ―Respondió ella con la convicción de sus dieciocho años y las metas por cumplir.
Pablo se acercó, quedando a centímetros de ella.
―Y lo será, pequeña, ―le decía, mientras echaba atrás de la oreja, un flequillo de cabello, ―Pero la eternidad, mi querida Vivianne, se construye con fuego, tienes que entender que la vida es corta, que la pasión es la única verdad y el riesgo… el riesgo es la única lección.
En ese momento, el diálogo ya no era sobre escultura, ni sobre el arte como tal, sino sobre la dinámica de poder que él había creado cuidadosamente entre ellos dos.
Vivianne, buscando la validación de su ídolo, creyendo en la retorcida narrativa de que esa conexión especial que había entre su profesor y ella, era parte del proceso artístico, cayó en la red.
