Chapter 1
Seraphina's POV
Damn it, I was back to this day again.
Just as the elder was about to recite the mating vows, a violent wave of dizziness struck.
NO! This isn't right!
My wolf was howling frantically in warning. Then, memories from my past life crashed over me like a flood—
"You damn breeding tool! Lyanna died because of you!" My husband Casper roared like a madman.
"You stole what should have been hers! Go to hell!"
His massive frame pinned me down, fists pounding repeatedly into my six-month pregnant belly...
"My baby!" I screamed in despair, feeling the life within me slip away as blood stained the basement stone floor...
The silver blade piercing my chest, life ebbing away in agony...
"Oh God!" I stumbled backward, nearly falling onto the altar.
My wolf was roaring in fury. Revenge! We want revenge! That bastard who killed our child!
"Seraphina? Are you alright?" Casper reached out to steady me, his concerned face making me sick.
I stared hard at this monster who had killed me and my unborn child, fighting to suppress the hatred churning inside.
In Casper's twisted logic, if I—this pure bloodline fertility Omega from a small pack—hadn't appeared, he could have married his first love Lyanna. She wouldn't have chosen to marry another werewolf, and she wouldn't have died in childbirth. So everything was my damn fault.
"I'm fine," I said coldly. "Perfectly fine."
The elder prepared to continue the ceremony. "Then, let us proceed..."
"Wait!"
My voice rang out across the hall, and all conversation stopped instantly. Hundreds of werewolves turned to look at me, including Alpha Dominic sitting on the high platform—leader of the Stormwind Pack and Casper's father.
"I refuse this mating."
Silence. Dead silence.
Then the hall erupted in deafening uproar.
"What the hell are you saying?" Casper's face turned red instantly. "Are you insane?!"
I turned to face the entire pack. "I refuse to mate with Casper Storm. He can't even maintain a stable wolf transformation. How can he protect the pack? How can he give me strong offspring?"
"Seraphina, do you have any idea what you're saying?!" He charged forward angrily, trying to grab my shoulders. "You're just an Omega from some small pack! Without me, you're nothing!"
I sneered and dodged his reaching hands. "That's right, I am an Omega. But I'm an Omega with pure bloodline fertility."
The hall fell silent again. Pure bloodline fertility—in a werewolf world with declining birth rates, this gift was more precious than gold.
I turned to Alpha Dominic on the platform. "Alpha Dominic Storm, I'm willing to become your Luna and bear true Alpha bloodline for the Stormwind Pack."
BOOM!
This statement was like a bomb dropped in water—the entire hall exploded.
"She's lost her mind!"
"How is this possible?!"
"This is outrageous!"
"Father, you can't..." Casper's face went pale.
But Dominic raised his hand, and powerful Alpha pressure instantly silenced everyone. He slowly stood up, his deep eyes locking onto me.
"Little wolf, you're challenging pack tradition." He began walking down from the platform. "Casper is my heir."
I sneered. "An heir who can't even control his wolf form? Alpha, are you really willing to watch the Stormwind Pack decline under his leadership?"
"How dare you humiliate me like this?!" Casper completely lost control, trying to shift into wolf form to attack me, but—
He failed.
He only partially transformed before collapsing to the ground, howling in pain. Every werewolf present saw this clearly.
I looked down coldly at Casper on the ground. If it weren't for having such a powerful father like Alpha Dominic, how could a waste like him possibly become heir to the Stormwind Pack?
"Enough!" Dominic's roar shook the entire hall. "Casper, stand down!"
His pressure made Casper immediately stop struggling, cowering on the ground like a scolded puppy.
Dominic had reached me. He towered nearly a head above me, his powerful frame radiating mature masculine pheromones.
"Are you certain, little wolf?" He reached out, gently lifting my chin. "Do you know what becoming my Luna means?"
His touch made my skin burn. "I know, Alpha. It means I'll bear the next generation of pack heirs for you..."
"More than that." His thumb brushed across my lower lip, his voice dropping low. "It means your body belongs completely to me, your loyalty belongs completely to me, everything about you belongs completely to me."
My heart raced, but I met his gaze directly. "It also means truly valuable bloodline will continue, instead of letting the pack be destroyed by worthless hands."
Dominic chuckled softly, appreciation flashing in his eyes. "Clever little wolf. You know your worth, and you know how to use it."
His hand slid to my waist, pulling me closer. That physical contact made the air in the entire hall tense. I could feel his body's heat, that powerful strength, and... possessiveness.
"I like ambitious women," he whispered in my ear, his breath brushing my ear. "But I prefer women who know their place."
He released me and turned to address the entire pack, his voice ringing with authority.
"From today forward, Seraphina is my Luna, mistress of the Stormwind Pack. The Moon Goddess has chosen her. Who dares question this?"
No one dared respond. Before the Alpha's absolute authority, all opposition was crushed.
The elders bowed respectfully. "Yes, Alpha."
I felt my inner wolf's excited howl—a howl of victory.
We did it! We'll be queen of this pack!
I took one last look at Casper, still standing there. His fists were clenched, his entire body trembling, eyes filled with hatred and resentment.
Good. Let the hatred burn. Because this is just the beginning.
