Crystal Starlight Hotel.

"Ano'ng kinatatakutan mo?"
"Gusto mo bang bumalik sa pobreng ito?"
Ang lalaking kasama ni Jennifer ay hindi matangkad kundi maliit lamang ang katawan.

Napatras si James ng ilang hakbang, namumutla ang mukha.

"Jennifer, bumalik na tayo! Kaya kitang pasayahin."

"Jennifer, maaaring mahirap ako ngayon, pero magtatrabaho ako nang husto!" sabi ni James nang mariing kagat ang mga labi.
"Isa kang ulila na walang pera, kapangyarihan, o koneksyon. Kahit maghatid ka ng pagkain habang-buhay, hindi ka makakahigit kahit sa isang hibla ng buhok ni Mr. Brown. Ang mga pagsusumikap mo ay parang biro," pangungutya ni Jennifer.
"Gumising ka, James. Hindi siya babalik sa'yo para maghatid ng pagkain," dagdag pa ni Michael sa pangungutya.
"James, matagal ko nang gustong sabihin sa'yo na hindi ka karapat-dapat sa akin. Maghiwalay na tayo!" malamig na sabi ni Jennifer.
Pagkatapos, tumingin siya kay Michael na may mapang-akit na ngiti. "Mr. Brown, tara na."

Tumalon si Paul, mukhang nagsisisi.
"Nagbu-book kami ng standard double rooms at wala namang nangyari," paliwanag ni James.
"Hindi pwede! Sayang naman!"
Naisip ni James na baka nga siya ang talo.
Gayunpaman, tunay na mahal at nirerespeto ni James si Jennifer, kaya hindi niya ito pinilit sa anumang bagay.
Sa sandaling iyon, tiningnan ni James ang mensahe ng order sa kanyang telepono. Marahil ang tanging benepisyo ng pakikipaghiwalay ay hindi na siya kailangang mag-deliver ng pagkain!
