Vi cómo sus ojos parpadearon un poco. No esperaba que aceptara su rechazo tan fácilmente. Bien.

Sentí las lágrimas caer y el dolor del rechazo empezó a consumirme, así que salí corriendo de allí. No iba a darles la satisfacción de verme llorar, especialmente a él.

Sonreí ante eso. Los Alphas tenían la habilidad especial de saber quién era su compañera, a veces semanas o meses antes de cumplir dieciocho años.

Era algo esperado que nos convirtiéramos en compañeros, ya que desde el principio teníamos un vínculo fuerte.

Se acercó a mí y luego se inclinó un poco para poder alcanzar mi altura.

—Te estás avergonzando ahora mismo, así que, ¿por qué no te aguantas y esperas hasta que tenga tiempo para ti?

Lo miré y luego miré a las personas que ahora estaban enfocadas en nosotros, sentí que me sonrojaba por la situación y luego subí a mi habitación.

Caminé de un lado a otro en la habitación, esperando que cayera la noche.

—Claro, ¿qué pasa? —Parecía que acababa de bañarse. Su cabello estaba desordenado, pero aún se veía bien, como si pudiera pasar mis manos por él.

—Creo que deberíamos darnos un tiempo, por ahora.
