El oso cayó sobre sus cuatro patas y dio un paso hacia mí.

Pero mientras me acercaba, algo en sus ojos de lobo azul hielo me hizo detenerme. No había calidez allí. En cambio, su mirada era fría, casi... distante.

Antes de que pudiera descifrar su expresión, Leon comenzó a transformarse. La transformación fue fluida y graciosa—el pelaje se replegaba en la piel, los huesos y músculos se reacomodaban bajo la pálida luz de la luna.

Había visto a personas transformarse antes, por supuesto, pero algo en ver a Leon transformarse hizo que el calor subiera a mis mejillas.

Leon medía al menos un metro noventa, su alta figura dominando el claro. Su cabello dorado, ahora despeinado por la transformación, captaba la luz de la luna como plata hilada.
