Chapter 5 005

Ria woke up very early the next day. She could barely get any wink of sleep since she kept having nightmares of her father pleading for her to help him.

Ria wrapped a robe around her body and stride downstairs, some of the maids were already up and had begun their duties.

While some of them greeted her, some barely recognized her presence. But it didn't matter to her, she kept thinking about the one time she heard her father speak about the Luna trial. The Luna never survived it.

Since they couldn't kill her, she was sure that they were now trying to use the Luna trial as an excuse to get rid of her.

Ria gulped a glass of water down her throat. She knew this was going to be a very very dangerous one, yet she had not a single idea what to do about it.

Just then, one of the pack guards stood before her as he lowered his head. “Luna! There is someone that is here to see you”

“Me?” Ria touched her chest, stunned that anyone would want to see her.

“Yes.” The guard spoke and before she would even get the chance to usher whoever it was, Anna poked her head inside and as Ria caught sight of her, she screamed in surprise.

“Anna!” This time, Anna walked in and right into her arms. “How are you here Anna?” She asked, trying to stop herself from breaking down in tears.

“I have missed you ma'am” Anna who was her maid when she was still the betas daughter broke down in tears. After her father was captured, all of the maids left And Ria had no.idea what happened to them

But Anna, who had been a friend to her all these years, was standing before her.

“Let go upstairs” Ria held her hand and they both began to hurry upstairs. The door shut right behind them before they both sat at the edge of the large bed.

“How did you find me?”

“I heard you were now the Luna. At first I was so scared that you are dead, but seeing that you are alive, I feel so elated.”.

“Mayve it fate that brought you back to me and this time around, we are not going to be apart anymore”

She muttered but slowly Anna's expression began changing into a sore one. “So that is it ma, you are now their Luna, the same men that murdered your father in cold blood?”

“Yes.” Her eyes narrowed to Anna as she held both her hands together. “Trust me when I say that I don't want something like this, but right now, this is as close as I can get to be able to take my revenge”

“Revenge?” Anna widened her eyes, not sure she heard right. ..

“Wait. You think that I am just going to live here like a sweet Luna and forget that this man murdered my father and not to mention, one of them might have been involved in the death of their father. I can't even look then in the eyes but I will find out soon”

“This is such a relief, but you need to be careful. The Alpha's—” Anna was done speaking when a knock interrupted them.

Both their eyes widened as they stared from across the door. Ria was already aware that it was the Alphas.

“What do they want?” She let out an exasperated sigh and rose to her feet. “The Alphas are here. You should leave for now, we can talk later”

Anna smiled politely and as she swung the door open, the three Alphas were standing there. Anna bowed her head in courtesy and quickly dashed out of there.

“Is there a problem?” Ria asked but none of them gave a response, instead they followed her inside.

“The date for the Luna's trial has been fixed.” Dante spoke and then remained silent like he was afraid of the next words that were going to come out of his mouth.

“Have you ever attended Luna's trial before?” Silas asked this time around. Fear lingered in his eyes.

“No, but I have heard about it from my father in the past. Is there a problem?” Ria asked and the triplet stared at each other at a time.

Lucien walked up close to Ria and sat next to her on her soft bed. “It's a very dangerous Trial. You would have to get the bulls head”

“Bulls head, what does that even mean?”

“Have you heard about the bulls' home and how no one ever goes there?”

“Isn't that a myth children were told to scare them off that particular woods?” She narrowed her eyes at each of them at a time and they shook their heads.

Lucien pulled closer to her, his hand brushed against hers and he felt a surge of electricity. The mate bond was playing tricks on his head and he hates it.

He had been fighting the urge to stay away from her from the first time he found out she was their mate and each time, it was getting more and more difficult for him to do.

“No one has ever gone there and come back alive. It is said that only a true Luna can walk into the den of the bulls, known as their home, kill one of them and come out with its head, infact it next to impossible”

“Since you all know that it's impossible, then why are you asking me to do it!”

“We just became the Alphas, there are other of our cousins scouting for this position, we need the support of the people and with you as our Luna, we are not getting that”

Silas spoke softly and then moved closer to her too. The mate bonds like a syringe, their wolves all banging in their head, eager for who would mark her first.

“How about you don't do it?” Lucien suddenly blurted, even though he knew that was not an idea. As he did, Ria was stunned to hear his words, if felt like he cared about her for a split second.

Their eyes locked with each other, Lucien could immediately feel his cock harden against his pants, traces of sweat on his forehead and his breath became hived.

“Can you both stop staring at each other like that, you are messing with my wolf and my dick is already rock hard”

Dante groans, pulling Ria and Lucien's gaze away from each other. Ria rose to her feet, she tried to walk away, she had no idea why she had decided to walk out when they were still having such a serious conversation.

But as she bumped right into Dante, he growled like the wolf inside of him had just been awake.

“Fuck! Are you trying to get me horny?”

“What…..” she gulped the saliva down her throat, Ria knew she was already wet just staring at all three men.

Her mind was running wild with imaginations of the things that they could do to her and she hated herself for it.

“Get out of my way, I need to get some air, we can continue this conversation later”

“That is the thing Ria, we don't have later” his finger slowly trails around her arm, she froze at a spot, a cold shiver ran down her spine.

“Let her go Dante!” Lucien even knew he knew that was the last thing he wanted. But Dante was already rock hard and he knew the only way that he was going to let her go was after he freed himself.

Ignoring his brother's words, he titled closer, just an inch away, feeling her every breath. Ria knew that was the point where she had to move back, but he smelled of sandalwood and cedar, the scent was strong, drawing her closer to him..

Lucien was about to speak again, but Dante grabbed her head and tucked her for a deep kiss as nothing else matter to him at that moment.
