I dove behind the couch as bullets smashed through the window.

Glass flew everywhere like deadly rain. The sound was so loud I couldn't think.

"Stay down!" Marcus yelled from somewhere across the room.

But I couldn't see him through the smoke and darkness.

More gunshots. More breaking...
