Chapter 92
Olivia's POV
The attack unfolded in a blur of chaos. One moment, the Council chamber was tense but controlled; the next, the doors burst open, and Rogues poured in like a wave of darkness.
Shouts and growls echoed through the chamber as Alphas and warriors sprang into action. I froze for only a second, my heart pounding, before instinct took over.
I scanned the room, looking for the injured and vulnerable. The people nearest me were already retreating to the edges, some looking terrified, others poised to fight.
Ethan’s roar cut through the noise like a thunderclap, his wolf unleashed in a blur of strength and fury as he leaped into the fray. My chest ached at the sight of him, raw power and rage, as he protected the Council with Kelvin and the other Alphas.
But my place wasn’t at the center of the battle. I turned and ran toward a fallen elder clutching his arm. Blood seeped between his fingers. Kneeling beside him, I tore strips from my jacket to create a makeshift bandage, trying to stop the bleeding.
“It’s a shallow cut,” I reassured him, though my voice wavered. “Stay here. Help is coming.”
I caught sight of another injured warrior nearby. Rising quickly, I darted toward him, weaving through the chaos. As I reached him, I noticed the Rogue weapon – crude, improvised, and coated in something viscous. My stomach turned, worried over the implications.
“Stay still,” I told the warrior, already pulling the small vial of the diagnostic formula I’d brought in case of emergencies. The liquid changed color almost instantly on contact, confirming the presence of toxins.
I bit back panic. The Rogues weren’t just here to kill, they were here to make a statement. Every injury they inflicted was meant to weaken us long after the battle ended.
Olivia, focus. Ethan’s voice hummed through the mind-link, steady and grounding.
I forced myself to breathe as I applied the antidote, silently thanking the Pack healer who had helped me pack for this type of thing. “This will burn,” I warned, pouring it onto the wound. The warrior hissed in pain but nodded his thanks.
More shouts filled the chamber, and I glanced up just in time to see Chloe standing at the far end of the room. Her Rogues were faltering, their numbers clearly fewer than she had expected.
Something had gone wrong with her plan. Good.
Ethan’s wolf was an unstoppable force in the center of the fight, taking down Rogue after Rogue. The other Alphas held their ground, their warriors forming a defensive line around the Chamber. The tide was turning in our favor, but the battle wasn’t over yet.
My wolf growled low in my chest, urging me forward. A Rogue lunged toward me, and I stepped back instinctively. Kerrick appeared from nowhere, intercepting him with a ferocious snarl and taking him down.
“Luna, stay back!” Kerrick growled, blood streaking his face.
“I’m fine,” I said, moving past him toward another injured warrior.
Chloe’s gaze locked with mine from across the room, her smile faltering as she realized her plan was unraveling. She turned to retreat, but Marlus cut her off, blocking her path.
As I bent to help another injured warrior, a low, familiar growl stopped me in my tracks. My head snapped up, and there he was—Aiden. His smirk was sharp, his eyes alight with the chaos surrounding us.
“Did you really think this was over, Olivia?” he sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. “Chloe’s just the beginning. You’re out of your depth.”
I straightened, my wolf bristling under my skin, but I held my ground. “If you had any strength of your own, you wouldn’t be Chloe’s pawn.”
He stepped closer, and my heart raced. “Enjoy your victory while it lasts, Luna. It won’t.”
Aiden had me cornered.

The battlefield was chaos, a swirl of growls, snarls, and the clash of bodies as Rogues charged at us in waves. My wolf surged forward, my senses heightened, searching for the one target that mattered most: Chloe.
Beside me, Marlus held his ground, taking down two Rogues with swift, calculated movements. “Ethan,” he called, nodding toward the far edge of the room. “She’s there, near the door!”
I followed his gaze and saw her, standing behind a ring of Rogues, barking orders. She didn’t fight herself, of course. That was Chloe’s style, to let others bleed for her.
Marlus took off to block her path, but my wolf snarled with unrestrained fury. “She’s mine,” I growled, already moving.
A Rogue lunged at me, teeth bared, but I didn’t slow. My claws tore through him with brutal precision. Another came from the side, but Kerrick intercepted him with a powerful strike, clearing my path.
I reached Chloe in moments, my wolf barely contained. Her eyes widened as I advanced, but she quickly masked her fear with a smirk. “Finally decided to join the fray, Ethan?” she sneered.
Before I could respond, a shadow moved from the corner of my vision – Aiden. He was circling Olivia, his posture predatory, his attention fully on her. My wolf roared to life, demanding I protect her.
With a burst of speed, I changed course, barreling toward him. He turned just in time to see me, his eyes widening with panic before I slammed into him, sending us both tumbling.
We rose simultaneously, but I was faster. My claws raked across his side, and he howled in pain, staggering back. “You’ve lost, Aiden,” I said, my voice guttural, my wolf bleeding into every word. “This ends now.”
He lunged at me, desperation fueling his movements, but he was no match against an Alpha protecting his Mate. I sidestepped his attack and drove him to the ground, pinning him beneath me.
“You don’t deserve the title of Alpha,” I snarled, my fangs bared.
For a moment, I considered ending it; tearing out his throat and ridding us of his poison. I told Olivia I wouldn’t be gentle in this moment. But her face flashed in my mind, her belief in justice, in a less violent path.
I released him with a growl, my claws grazing the scruff of his neck as I turned my attention back to Chloe. She stood frozen, her usual arrogance replaced with fear.
“It’s over,” I said, my voice carrying over the din of battle. “Your plans, your lies…they’ve cost you everything.”
Before she could respond, other Alphas surged forward, their warriors quickly subduing the remaining Rogues. Marlus approached, his eyes scanning the scene. “What now?”
I glanced toward Olivia, who stood tall amidst the chaos, her strength radiating despite the turmoil around her. “Now,” I said, locking eyes with Chloe, “we make sure the Council handles them both.”
Chloe and Aiden were dragged away, her defiance crumbling as the realization of her defeat sank in.
As the adrenaline ebbed, I turned back to Olivia. My wolf stirred, a deep, protective growl rising as I crossed the distance to her.
“Are you alright?” I asked, my voice softer now.
She nodded, her eyes searching mine. “It’s over.”
“Not yet,” I said, glancing toward the Council chamber. “But it will be.”
Needing to feel that she was safe, I pulled Olivia close and kissed her neck, baring our Mating Marks for everyone to see.
