Chapter 1
'Emma, you are my mate, wherever you go, I will find you' She snapped her eyes open and realized that it was all a dream, but the cold and demonic whispers of Alpha Miguel were still in her head and echoed in her ears as if he was standing in front of her.
"What is this?" She mumbled as she managed to sit up on the bed. Her forehead was dripping with cold sweat and her heart was running a marathon in her chest. As much as she wanted to conclude that this was just a dream, she couldn't help but read meaning to it. Was he coming for her? She asked herself, but quickly shook the stupid thoughts off, knowing that it was something never possible. It has been five months since she left that horrible pit of hell she called home, five months of leaving her past and everything that mattered to her behind and coming here to better her life and make the changes she had always dreamt of, so he couldn't come looking for her.
Her name is Emma Lee, an Omega from the Silver Moon Pack. Her mother was a healer in the Pack. Even though she lived all her life being an omega, she was able to escape being treated like a slave, maybe because of her mother's position in the Pack, or maybe she was just lucky, but the latter was not the case, which she had always keep at the back of her mind. She knew she would be doomed for the rest of her life if anything was to happen to her mother and the Alpha didn't find her useful like her mom. Well, she already escaped from that hell before anything like that would happen.
She was a student of the werewolf high school in her Pack, but she couldn't complete her education as a result of the ill fate that befell her.
Emma had spent the recent years of her life serving Alpha Miguel, up until five months ago when the horrible incident happened on her eighteenth years birthday. She thought her life was going to be smooth as it has always been even as she was working as a maid in the Pack, well, she was still ok with that, not until she found out she mated to Alpha Miguel, the man she loathed so much all her life.
All she ever wanted was to study hard and become the successful businesswoman she has always dreamt of, but she knew that was not going to happen again with Alpha Miguel in her life. She was just a little girl turning eighteen, how was she supposed to be with a man that was old enough to be her father? How was she supposed to be with someone that was twice her age? Those were the questions she asked herself before she took the drastic decision of running away from the Pack, and life has since become rough for her since she had to make ends meet here in the human world. Aside from the age difference, having heard how Alphas treated their omega mates, she couldn't have risked her life to be with him, right? Putting her life on the line was the last thing she wanted to do.
The sound of the blaring alarm jolted her back to reality, and she groaned tiredly as the realization dawned on her that it was Monday, and she had to go to work if she wanted to survive. Her eyes were puffy from the sleep, her thick black lengthy hair was disheveled, and her lingerie was clinging to her body, showing her hourglass shape. As she dragged her feet toward the bathroom, she knotted her thick eyebrows together as she tried to see through, and once she walked into the bathroom, the sound of water splashing filled the room.
It took her about fifteen minutes to have her bath since she was not someone that loved wasting her time in the bathroom, and she finally got ready for work before she strode out of the room.
After she left the Pack five months ago, Emma had been through a rough time, trying to survive here in the human world. It was a miracle how she managed to scale through to where she was today, and her next plan now was to make money and finish her high school here before making college plans.
As she stood at the side of the road minutes later, she checked her wristwatch for the fifth time and sighed briefly. This happens every Monday since many workers would be on the morning shift so getting a cab was always difficult on this day. She was already running late for work, so she prayed to get a cab soon.
After waiting for another five minutes, a black and shiny car finally pulled over in front of her, and she pulled a puzzled look. She never stopped the cab. She waited to see the person inside the car, but she froze on the spot when the mirror wined down and the person she least expected to see welcomed her. It was Alpha Miguel.
Her heart stopped beating for seconds and her mouth dropped open as she stared at him. What was this man in front of her, or what was he doing in the human world, rather? Or was she hallucinating? She asked herself, but seeing his dark eyes piercing into hers, she knew that this was not some sort of joke.
"Long time, no see, Mate," Her heart sank into her stomach when his deep baritone voice pierced through her ears, and she almost lost her balance as she staggered back, but she tried to maintain her stand.
"A... Alpha?" The name escaped her lips in a low tone that she could barely hear herself speak. Her heart was beating faster and louder that he could literally hear the sound from the car if he was attentive enough.
'I will find you wherever you go' Were those words warning? So it wasn't just a dream but a warning that he was coming for her?
"What are you waiting for? Come on, hop in and let me take you to where you are going," He offered as he stuck his head out of the car while knotting his eyebrows together as his pair of green eyes pierced at her with desires and a touch of rage in them. His face looked younger than his age that it would be so hard to believe that this man was thirty-six years old or even with a few months now. He had the most beautiful eyes, thick black curled hair, thick eyebrows, small plump and pink lips, smooth and light skin, a chiseled face, and a sharp jawline, and he looked sexy and cute even with the deep frown on his face.
"Wh...what are you doing here?" She finally managed to ask him, and he scoffed as he threw his head on the headrest.
"Is that even a question? My mate suddenly went missing for months now, you weren't expecting me to just stay back there and do nothing, right? Do you know how much I've missed you?" He raised his eyebrows as he turned his gaze to her this time, and she gulped down the lump that formed in her throat.
"Hu...huh?" She blinked her eyes rapidly as the realization dawned on her that the fate she had been running away from just found her, and this time, she might not be able to escape this anymore. Is this the same man that was so cold in the Pack? Why was he being so nice? She asked herself, but that was not really the problem right now.
"Are you not going to get in?" He asked her, and she quickly shook her head.
"I don't dare to enter the Alpha's car. I will take a cab, Alpha," She quickly bowed her head, and he scoffed.
"Quit with that, Emma. Just hop in. It's an order," That was all he needed to get her inside the car.
"Back seat? Why don't you come sit here with me, huh?" He uttered when she was trying to open the door to the back seat.
"I'm fine..." Her voice trailed off as he suddenly hopped out of the car, and her breath hitched. He had the perfect height, broad chest, and probably perfectly toned abs underneath his black suit.
"Look at you... You are so pretty," He smiled at her, but it disappeared almost immediately and was replaced with his usual cold expression. He placed his hands on her shoulders, and she found herself flinching fearfully.
"We should talk about something important later. For now, let's get you to where you are going," He uttered before he held her hand and led her to the other side of the car before he opened the door for her to hop in.
"Thank you," She managed to say to him before she hopped inside the car, and he closed the door gently behind her. Walking over to the driver's seat, he hopped inside and fastened his seatbelt.
"Do you want me to help you with that?" He asked, referring to the seatbelt.
"No...no... I'll do it," She quickly shook her head before fastening the seatbelt nervously.
"So, where are we going?" He asked.
"Uhm... Just drop me off at the junction..."
"Where are we going?" He cuts her off.
"Uhm... Morning cafe shop," that was all the answer he needed before he started the car and drove off...

He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
