Chapter 118
Hannah
Sebastian and I didn’t waste any time as we returned to our bedroom. Wren was sleeping comfortably in her new crib, and we had some time before Raya and Arnold would show up for our feast later. It’s been a while since I’ve been alone with my husband, and I couldn’t help the excitement that coursed through the insides of my body.
I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to kiss me. His tongue explored my mouth with hunger. I breathed him in, basking in his scent and drowning in his aura. He pressed me firmly against the wall and pinned my arms above my head. He trailed his kisses down the nape of my neck, licking and nipping at my flesh as he made his way over my shoulders and across my chest. I felt the fabric of my shirt tearing away and landing on the ground, exposing my bra to him. I gazed up at him, breathlessly. I could see the scarlet forming in his eyes, and I knew his Lycan beast was taking control. I grew excited with anticipation.
His fingers unhooked my bra with ease, and it fell to the ground. There was a small part of me that felt embarrassed and wanted to cover myself. But I saw the hunger and desires in his eyes, and I felt heat rising throughout my entire body. He began kissing and sucking on one breast as he played with the other with his free hand. He kept my arms pinned above my head with the other head. I threw my head back and moaned as the sensation of his touch continued to rise through my body.
I felt my most intimate areas tickle between my legs, and I crossed them to keep myself under control. He switched breasts and my breathing became rash. After a few moments he trailed his kisses back up my chest and I tasted his lips on mine. He bit my bottom lip, drawing it into his mouth and sucking with great intensity. I felt his sharp teeth grazing my flesh and he licked the blood with a hungry desire. He finally released my arms, and I was able to drape my fingers through his thick coat of dark hair. He worked to remove my pants as he continued to kiss me.
I kicked my pants to the side of the room, and I felt the fabric of my underwear ripping and falling to the ground from the claws of his Lycan. I jumped and wrapped my legs around him, pressing myself close to him. He carried me to our bed, falling on top of me. I laughed as my head hit the sheets. A low and sexy growl escaped his throat. I felt Nora releasing herself from me; she too was losing control and I wasn’t going to stop her. He trailed his kisses down my torso and I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my lips as his tongue explored every crease of my body.
I gazed down at him, meeting his scarlet eyes, begging for more as he wedged himself between my legs.
We paused as Wrenley’s cries of distress filled our ears.
Sebastian
“I must have her; I must have all of her,” Eric growled before they were interrupted by the sounds of Wrenley in the next room.
Sebastian stilled and he felt his wolf coming back to his senses. Sebastian couldn’t help the groan that escaped his lips. His daughter had impeccable timing.
He could still smell the intoxicating scent of Hannah’s desires, and it took everything he had to pull himself off her. She was breathing heavily with her eyes closed. He kissed the top of her damp forehead, causing her eyes to open, and he gave her a fond smile.
“I’ll go check on her,” he told her. “You can rest.”
“She probably just wants to be rocked,” Hannah breathed, still trying to catch her breath. “She ate about an hour ago.”
Going into Wrenley’s room, she was crying in her crib. He scooped her into his arms and held her close. She was so small and lightweight. He rocked her carefully in his arms afraid that too much would cause her injury. She seemed to be calming down quickly. Hannah was right; she just needed to be rocked. She rested comfortably in his arms for a long while until he was sure that she was asleep. He placed her back into her crib and went into his bedroom to finish what he had started.
However, once he returned, Hannah was already asleep. She must have been so tired after the last couple of days. He couldn’t blame her. She looked so peaceful, and he couldn’t but smile. They would have to continue this at a different time. He adjusted her so her head was on a pillow and placed the blanket over her naked body before getting into bed beside her. He wrapped his arms around her, and she nuzzled her face against his chest.
“I love you…” he whispered to her as she continued to sleep. “I’m never going to let anything happen to you or our daughter. I promise…”
She couldn’t hear him, but he knew she could feel it. His fingers traced the dimples on her back, and he kissed the top of her soft hair, allowing her long strands to tickle his features.
He thought about his trip to see Gemma and about what she said about killing Liam. Before he left, she mentioned that he had to do it before the peak of the full moon. Once the full moon was at the highest point in the sky, it would be too late. Liam’s mind would be trapped in the underworld forever. He hasn’t brought it up to Hannah yet, but he knew he needed to tell her everything. The full moon was less than a week away.
Gemma had given him medicine that helped manage the pain from being linked to Liam. But he could still feel the discomfort that Liam was feeling, and he knew his torture was far from over. The only other thing that kept his pain manageable was being around Hannah.
“I can’t sleep when you’re worrying,” Hannah said tiredly against his chest as she woke from her nap. “I could feel something was wrong since you showed up at the hospital yesterday. What’s going on?”
“There is something wrong,” he confirmed in a whisper. “It’s about Liam.”
She lifted her head and gazed at him; he could see the worry that was already in his eyes and that tugged painfully at his heart. He didn’t like having to have this conversation with her, but he couldn’t lie to her.
“What about Liam?”
“I know now why I’ve been experiencing all this weird pain. You were right; it isn’t my madness that’s causing it. It’s Liam.”
“What?” She asked, narrowing her eyes at him. “How could it be Liam? He’s been in a coma for weeks.”
“I know,” he said in return. “But his mind is trapped in the underworld.”
“The underworld?”
“Yes, the land of vampires…”
“I know what the underworld is, Sebastian. It’s a prison the moon goddess created for the vampires. There’s no way they could have that much control over our minds. The goddess would never allow that to happen…”
“I know what I saw,” he said, stopping her words.
“It must have been a dream,” she retorted.
“It wasn’t a dream. It was real. That’s where I went the other day. I went to see an old friend up north. She’s a witch and I knew she would be able to tell me exactly what was happening.”
“And she’s the one who told you that my brother was in the underworld?”
“She confirmed my suspicions,” he answered. “He’s being tortured by some kind of shadow figure.”
“Wait; a shadow figure?” She asked, sitting up in bed. “Dr. Davis said that he saw a shadow figure leaving Liam’s room the day his condition worsened.”
“It must be the same figure that I saw.”
“What did this witch say?” Hannah asked. “Is there a way to help him if he really is trapped in the underworld?”
He was hesitant before continuing. He knew this next part was going to destroy her.
“She gave me a dagger,” he told her. “She said the only way to save him from eternal torture is to plunge the dagger into his heart before the full moon. It will release him from the underworld…but…”
“That would also kill him,” Hannah said, finishing his sentence, meeting his eyes. “That would kill my brother.”
