Chapter 108

Sebastian

Sebastian lay awake beside a very sleepy Hannah. She was curled up in the corner of the bed, naked and stained with her own blood. He allowed his wolf to bite into her, claiming her repeatedly. He refused to allow Henry to mark his claim on her and needed to make a point. Her soft moans invaded her mines; she didn’t mind the pain because of the pleasure that arrived shortly after. Just thinking about her naked body wrapped around him made him hard.

He tucked a long strand of her hair behind her ear, and she stirred comfortably in her sleep. There was no doubt in his mind that he loved her. He would move the planet for her. He would do anything if it meant keeping her safe. Now he had to think of both Hannah and their daughter.

“I need to have her again,” Eric growled within him. “I must have a taste of her.”

“Calm down, you horny bastard,” Sebastian snapped to his wolf in return. “If we do that again, by the time we are done with her, there will be nothing left.”

“It makes no sense that she recognizes the gardener as her mate. That shouldn’t have happened.”

“I know that,” Sebastian snapped.

Since Hannah mentioned that Henry was her fated mate, it’s been invading his mind. She shouldn’t feel their mate bond after Sebastian had marked her. That asshole must have done something to make her think he was her fated mate. He wasn’t going to rest until he figured out what that was.

He slid out of bed and grabbed his pants on the ground. Once he dressed, he went around to Hannah’s side of the bed and breathed in her scent one last time. He kissed the side of her flawless features. She smiled in her sleep, probably sensing him nearby. Before he left, he grabbed his mask off the ground. He still couldn’t believe he took his mask off in front of her and she didn’t run and hide from him. It actually seemed like she enjoyed his face. That was something they were going to have to discuss later, but for right now, he had bigger business.

He wasted no more time.

He made his way down the stairs and into the foyer, only to be met with Arnold. He narrowed his eyes at Sebastian, raising his brows.

“Where are you off to in such a hurry?” Arnold aside.

“I have a business,” Sebastian growled, rushing toward the door.

“This late?” Arnold asked.

“Just stay on call in case I need you,” Sebastian ordered, slamming the door behind him.

He didn’t bother having his driver take him; Lewis was most likely asleep and wouldn’t be any good to him in a groggy state. He slid into his car and drove as fast as he could until he reached Henry’s house.

It took everything he had not to break down the door as he knocked; he waited a few moments and then Henry answered. He seemed surprised to see Sebastian standing before him.

“Alpha King?” Henry said, narrowing his eyes at Sebastian. “What can I have the honor for this visit so late at night?”

“You know exactly why I’m here,” Sebastian growled through a clenched jaw. Henry frowned, giving him an innocent look.

“I don’t,” Henry said in return, raising his brows. “Have I done something wrong?”

“You need to stay away from my luna,” Sebastian growled. “I know what lies you are feeding her, and I won’t stand for it.”

“I assure you, the only lie I told her was about my sick sister and the fact that I was a new gardener. Everything else is the truth. She must know that…”

“Shut up,” Sebastian snapped. “You don’t have any right to speak on what Hannah knows and doesn’t know. She is my luna; she belongs to me. Understood.”

“She might be your luna, but she isn’t your mate,” Henry said, folding his arms across his chest. For someone smaller than Sebastian, he was brave. Sebastian was already thinking of a hundred ways to tear apart his body and dispose of the evidence. But as the King, he knew he couldn’t be careless like that. “I’m sure she already told you that I’m her fated mate.”

“I’m not sure what you did to convince her wolf that you are her mate, but it won’t work much longer,” Sebastian said in a low and threatening tone.

Henry laughed and shook his head with dismay.

“You out of everyone should know that I wolf is extremely hard to trick. I promise I did nothing but tell her the truth. I am her fated mate. I don’t know why she can sense me after you marked her; I don’t have all the answers. But it’s the truth.”

“I’m warning you,” Sebastian hissed. “Stay away from her or I’ll tear your throat out with my wolf’s teeth without a second thought….”

Sebastian’s words got caught in his throat as pain shot through his entire body. He screamed without control, and he fell to the ground. His entire body was tensing, and he could feel his bones practically breaking within him. Eric had gone completely silent, unable to process his own thoughts and relay them to Sebastian.

“Fuuuccckkkk,” Sebastian growled through heaves of pain.

Henry took a step closer to him and through Sebastian’s distorted vision, he saw his eyes darkening.

“I would second think your threats next time,” Henry said in a low and dangerous tone.

He really was a dangerous individual; Sebastian wasn’t sure what his game was, but it wasn’t going to work. The scars on Sebastian’s face burned, leaving him in agony. His head was throbbing to a point where he thought he was going to throw up. He refused to do that on Henry’s doorstep.

“Hurts, doesn’t it?” Henry said, a low laugh erupting from his throat as he bent down to near Sebastian. “It’s only going to get much worse.”

Hannah

“Hannah!!”

I heard a loud voice coming from the other side of the door as I opened my groggy eyes. I had no idea what time it was, but I knew it wasn’t nearly the to wake for the day. My neck was still a bit sore from when Sebastian bit me last night, but the memory made my features grow hot. I had to brush the thought out of my mind if I was going to get through the day.

I looked to my side and realized Sebastian wasn’t there; a worried feeling formed in the pit of my stomach as I sat up in bed.

“Hannah!! Wake up!!”

The voice said again. I yawned and slid out of bed; I was completely naked and couldn’t open the door like this. I grabbed my clothes off the floor and slipped them on before facing a very frantic Raya.

“What’s going on?” I asked, yawning again as I opened the door. I felt like I hadn’t slept in days.

I saw that Raya looked extremely worried; she had tears in her eyes as she stared around my face.

“It’s Sebastian. He was found in the yard…” Raya breathed. My mouth nearly dropped open at her words.

“What?” I breathed. “Where is he?”

“Arnold brought him to the infirmary downstairs. Dr. Conway is looking at him now,” she told me.

I rushed past her and toward the stairs; I had to go see if he was okay. I couldn’t waste any time.

“Wait, Hannah,” Raya said, hurrying after me. “You should be prepared; he’s covered in blood.” My heart fell into my stomach; he was injured. Then she added, “it’s not his blood.”
