Chapter 4

The bedroom door was kicked open violently.

Then a huge force shoved me onto the nightstand.

My waist exploded with pain instantly, my bones feeling like they were about to shatter.

"Do you know what you're doing?"

For the first time, Damien's eyes turned red as he roared at me.

"Seven years ago, she killed my father, and she wants to join the Northern Wolf Pack!"

My chest heaved violently. I stumbled to my feet, trying to go after Rose again.

But he blocked her path firmly, staring at me coldly.

"You're lying! The difference between Rose and you is that she has a heart. Yours seems to be filled with nothing but bitter envy!"

Rose choked out, "Soraya, please, don't make things difficult for Damien. Will only my death make you happy?"

She suddenly turned and slammed straight into the wall.

In an instant, blood streamed down her forehead.

Damien frantically caught her, immediately tore off his shirt to bandage her forehead, and quickly made a call.

"Get the pack's best doctor to the villa right now. One second late and I'll kill him!"

When I grabbed the knife from the table and rushed at Rose again.

He used his Alpha command to wrench my knee backward until it snapped.I stumbled and fell to my knees in pain.

"Why won't you believe me!"

He looked at my pale face without expression, coldly spitting out just one word.

"Apologize."

I refused to give in, reaching for the knife with trembling hands.

Burning with rage, he let out a roar and forced my compliance with his sheer dominance. With a savage grip, he crushed my hand next.The knife clattered to the floor.

I curled up, beads of sweat rolling down my forehead from the pain.

My teeth bit through my lower lip, the taste of blood filling my mouth.

There was no trace of sympathy in his eyes as he warned, "If you don't apologize, next I'll break your neck."

"Go ahead, I'll look down on you if you don't kill me! Keep abusing your Alpha power, let the Moon Goddess see what a bastard you are!"

I laughed mockingly.

As if feeling no pain at all, I tried to reach for the knife again.

Just as Damien was completely enraged, his hands closing around my neck, and I gradually felt myself suffocating, a powerful, low growl came from outside the door, chilling to the bone. "Who dares hurt my destined mate?"
