Introduction

"Há quanto tempo somos companheiros?" Aidan latiu.

"Eu-eu estou," disse, procurando no bolso a foto que o médico me deu do bebê.

Aidan gritou.

"Aidan," comecei, mas ele me interrompeu.

"Responda a maldita pergunta, Tara."

"Quatro semanas," chorei, desmoronando em mais lágrimas. "Mas é verdade. Estou carregando nosso filho."

Ele não estava me ouvindo.

Aidan, estou assustada," implorei. "Meus pais... eles vão me matar.

"Aidan. Eu não posso fazer isso sem você. Eu..." minha voz se quebrou, e eu me espalhei no chão, chorando.

Eu nunca visitei a casa do bando.

"Aidan."

"As notícias voam, Tara.

Eu balancei a cabeça veementemente. "Não. Não. Não. Aidan.

Ela atendeu no primeiro toque.

"V-você pode me ajudar? Por favor?"

Determinação escorreu das próximas palavras dela.

"O que você precisa que eu faça?"

Everyone looked in that direction and there was a man standing there that I had never noticed before. He would have been in his early 20's, brown hair to his shoulders, a brown goatee, 6-foot 6 at least and very defined muscles that were now tense as his intense gaze was staring directly at me and Mason.
But I didn't know who he was. I was frozen in the spot and this man was just staring at us with pure hatred in his eyes. But then I realized that the hatred was for Mason. Not me.
"Mine." He demanded.
