The kingdom of Costa Lunas is decaying beneath a weak king. Nobles compete for power in the royal castle. Revolts and near constant war in the far north strain the peoples of these lands. A conquered people yearn to break free from the son of their conqueror. A stone nest high above the royal palace hosts the few remaining Pegasi, worshipped by many as the messengers of the goddess of the air. These royal servants and their brave riders have been neglected by nobles more loyal to the cult of the Unicorns. The noble Unicorns and the fierce Blue Knights stand dormant under a hollow imitation of the departed king. Two teens are drawn into a grand plot to change the fates of Humans, Pegasi and Unicorns.
